YES, you can. If you graduate in 2021, you can apply to U of T for the fall of 2022 as well as the Lester B. Pearson Scholarship for the fall of 2022.

I have a question. I am a 3rd-year university student, but due to some political issues in our country I hiatus from my education process. And our country doesn't have 12 years education program but the university website said they accept the students who are completed their first year in their university for my country. Do I need to take SAT to get consideration for a scholarship or it is okay if I don't have SAT? Yes, I did pay around $180 for my IELTS exam. If you can't give the IELTS, there are other tests you can take to meet the English Language Requirements like TOEFL or Duolingo English Test. Both of them have testing fee but Duolingo English test is way cheaper and easier (It costs $49).

Hey! Thank you for this video. I am actually in the process of submitting my OUAC application and I just wanted to know a few things - I am applying for this scholarship and I wondered if the essay prompts are same for each year or not? Also, I do plan to give my IELTS in January - however in my OUAC, I don't find submitting the IELTs test score option, it just asks for the consent. What's like the thing about it? And lastly, for submitting my transcripts, which will be done through WES as directed by OUAC portal - what do you recommend WES basic or WES ICAP? I am applying to 7 schools in Ontario

I don't know whether the prompts are same every year, I just shared the prompts I got. Once you submit your OUAC Application, you'll receive the login details for Join U of T portal, there you'll be able to send your IELTS score and see if the university has received them. Sorry, I don't know much about WES 😅

Your school nominates you and apart from that, they are not required to submit anything except if it is required in the U of T admission process (for the particular programs you are applying to).

Yes you are right !! To apply for the scholarship, you should've applied to U of T and to apply to U of T, you need to pay 180 CAD. In short, Applying for the scholarship = Apply to U of T (through OUAC) + Pay 180 CAD.

Hey! Thanks for the video. I had a question. So the application deadline for OUAC is 15th December and my degree requires me to fill up a supplementary application form. Does that form have essays? Is the deadline for that form also 15th December because as far as I know your can only fill the form after you have received you JoinID or something

Supplementary application can only be accessed through the Join U of T portal, which you can only open once U of T receives your OUAC Application and sends you the login credentials for Join U of T portal. Supplementary application varies a lot depending on the program, it can have essays, video interviews, online profile etc.

Hi Michelle, You're welcome. For the fall of 2022, the Lester B. Pearson scholarship application deadline has passed away, so you won't be able to apply this year. Unfortunately, you won't be eligible to apply next year as well (for the fall of 2023) as you won't meet their next year's eligibility criteria of "graduating before June 2022". Hello Zohair, I really liked your video; it gave me a slimmer of hope. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, our Board Exams were held in December 2021, and the results were published in February 2022. The deadline for Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship was 15 January 2022. Glad the video was helpful !! Lester B. Pearson scholarship selection is done independent of other scholarship considerations. So if you don't get it and you have a good profile, you will be considered for other scholarships (assuming you are admitted to U of T). You can also ask for student loan. Personally, I did not get the Lester B. Pearson scholarship, but did receive admission into both of my program choices and was also awarded the U of T International Scholars award (kzbin.info/www/bejne/aYOZfpysjN96iJo).

No, it won't be a problem. Just ask your school to nominate you using the email address you created your OUAC account with. In the scholarship nomination form, U of T asks for the student's email, that's where your school needs to put your email address. I hope this clears your doubt

English Proficiency Tests are required by the University and the Embassy. IELTS is just one way of meeting the English Requirements. If you want to apply early, you can take Duolingo English Test for now and later you can take the IELTS for the Student VISA. You can also take IELTS in the coming month (September) to apply to U of T and Lester B. Pearson scholarship by November.

Your academic profile is quite competitive but as I said in the video Academics are just one part of the whole selection process. You need make your overall profile competitive by engaging in strong, impactful extracurriculars and writing compelling essays. Then only you'll have a good chance of getting this scholarship. 👍

When will you graduate in 2023? You need the IELTS score to apply to U of T and you need to apply to U of T to apply for the Lester B. Pearson scholarship. You are required to submit the OUAC Application fee of 180 CAD to apply to U of T. The student scholarship application deadline has passed. So you won't be able to apply this year and since this scholarship is only for grade 12th students or students who have recently graduated grade 12th, you won't be eligible to apply next year as well.

The Lester B. Pearson scholarship is for only for students who want to do their bachelors at U of T. So if you are currently enrolled in a bachelors degree or you have completed one you are not eligible to apply for this scholarship. Regarding the second part of your question, I think you'll be able to get into a good university with 7.85 cgpa.

It rarely happens that you get a rejection from your first choice program at U of T and you are offered the Lester B. Pearson scholarship. If your first choice program rejects you, you are not getting the scholarship because Lester B. Pearson scholarship is RESTRICTED to your first choice program.

IELTS exam is just one way of meeting the English Proficiency Requirements of U of T. You can also take TOEFL or Duolingo English Test. Proof of English Proficiency is an admission requirement and you can only be exempted from it if you studied in a English speaking country. So you'll have to give one or the other test to prove your English proficiency.

There is no application fee to apply for the Lester B. Pearson scholarship; however, you do need to pay 180 CAD for submitting your OUAC Application in order to apply to U of T. Also, you'll need good academic performance (above 80-85%) + strong extracurricular activities' portfolio to win this scholarship. I would say give your best and APPLY.
