well I see your point but are you suggesting that a 250 like the kxf is faster than the LTR? I have a video somewhere of me racing my friend on his built crf250 racing on the street and were almost even till I pull away on top.

its weird because Kawasaki partnered with Suzuki (or the other way around) on the kfx too, the kaw runs the same engine. its nearly an identical quad in many ways. only other quad that I know of that is better than the LTR and the KFX is the KTM. those 450 pump out some hp and really got their machine "race ready" but they are also like 10,000 I think lol.

Yea I have an 08 ltr I know everything there is to know about them. And yes in 06 they were the best but they really havent done anything significant since. And its not just suzuki, its every manufacturer. And if its race ready fuck emissions, its meant to be raced on a track, not ridden on trails. I just did an rmz 450 motor swap and trust me, it makes a world of difference. Yea I could of spent five grand on the ltr motor and got the same power, but then it would blow up every other race.

To be honest dude id love to say that I did it myself, but I didnt. A friend of mine has done a ton of crf 450 trx swaps and he did it all. Im pretty sure all he had to do was relocate some mounts and run the rmz harness. I honestly didnt plan on it, I stumbled upon the motor on craigslist for a grand blown up and I decided to take the risk. All it needed was a top end and a valve job. Even came with the harness and throttle body! Def made out. ive got 2 in the swap and it has def been worth it.

From what I understand after removing baffle and installing the cherry bomb it wouldn't pass an emission test, or legally be allowed to ride on ORV Trails. Do people like myself still do it? lol I think you already know the answer to that. As for not being a race ready machine, that couldn't be farther rom the truth. from what I remember (correct me if I am wrong) but the LTR 450 was the heaviest, widest, and lowest quad that came out (at least in 2006) along with having a high HP engine.

Hello. I have a 06 ltr 450. & been wanting to put a Yoshimira Cherry Bomb. 💣. I understand I have to take off the air lid.. Anything else before I go & purchase one? Thank you for your time

Same here...just bought a 06 and I know he took baffle out and the air lid is open. Also has stock exhaust. Can I directly add a cherry bomb?

Well the ltr is certainly going to make much broader power. And im sure suzuki gave up some hp to get such a linear power delivery. And ive never done a side by side of a 250 bike vs. And an ltr, so I wont argue without knowing what would actually happen. But the point is that if ur going to "revolutionize the industry" and make a race ready quad stock, give us a race motor with it. To hell with california regs and the epa. This is built for the track not the trails.

And im not knocking u at all so dont take it as im just one of those assholes on youtube with no life. And yes the ltr has a ton of potential. I love the fact that I can run stock suspension and a-arms on practice days. I love this damn machine, I just wish they would put an engine in it u could race off the showroom floor. Obviously suzuki knows how, so why not?

Haha thats sad. I hate how every manufacturer restricts the shit out of their quad engines. A kxf250 makes 42 stock and and ltr 450 makes basically the same stock un corked and without the butt plug, 37 if kept in full factory form. Thats really fucking sad that a 250 bike makes more hp then a 450 quad
