Currently studying the same course as you did in Birkbeck. It is intense, but I remind myself that I have been looking forward to these moments for so long. I’m just enjoying my time being a student again :)

I just started started a postgraduate in Business Analysis. Thank you for these tips. I think one of my biggest problems is my fear of failure. It is constantly in my mind. Even when I'm studying. I can't seem to relax. I also work full-time

Thank you for sharing, I’ll definitely think about the fear of failure thing and maybe make a video of it, I have definitely felt the same in the past

Hello Mamoeli. I recently enrolled in a MS Analytics program as well. Im going to be working full-time and taking on the full-time course load starting with statistics and data management principles. I would love to hear some of your insights if you have the time to respond. Was it more or less challenging than you expected? Was it a large time-sink or were you still able to keep up with your social obligations with friends and family? Anything you didn't expect about starting? Thank you for your time, hope to hear from you. Happy Holidays!

Thanks a lot. It reminds me of the habits I had to implement in my undergraduate degree nd in that I achieved 1st class. So it is refreshing to come across this and be reminded.

Very informative and helpful. I'm starting a new degree in september while running a (more than) fulltime business and kids. It won't be distinction for me, but these tips will come in handy to get thtough. Thanks!

Excited for you! Is the degree in agriculture? I remember you discussing in a call. Definitely don't limit your mindset in terms of getting a distinction/a high grade!!! Working smart > working hard, even with limited time available
@RubDev3 жыл бұрын
@@Marios_CG yes! Procrastination and distractions will be the main hurdles to tackle. Especially once the intrinsic motivation starts to wear off. I keep coming back to your videos. That will help

@@Marios_CG It's been 2 years since my comment and implementing your strategies (among others). I can say as someone with ADD and a lot of other stuff on my plate the degree is going great. I've been allowed to pick up the pace even more and I'll be finishing the degree almost a year earlier than the norm. It's crazy considering my lack of studyhabits, motivation and overall grit when I was younger. It's never too late to pick it back up and make the best of it.

That's amazing @@RubDev thanks so much for letting me know - and congratulations on your achievement even with so much responsibility and being ADD. That's a lot of progress!

Can you offer time management tips for two simultaneous submissions with 1 week for prep? I’d like to maintain study-life balance. I’m beginning masters in 2 weeks and my schedule mostly includes this format (2 submissions +1 prep week)

Thanks for posting this, really good and clear tips. I'm thinking about doing a pt evening masters as I have a ft job. You mentioned 2 days in the library, how many hours do you think you spent on average studying during the week and over the weekends?
@Marios_CG3 жыл бұрын
Hey! Thanks glad you enjoyed the tips. There are two answers to this so try both as they work for me at different times: (a) as many hours as it takes to do the work i.e. the outputs, essays, project drafts etc. Set yourself some tangible outputs and just keep going until you get it done, but I normally draw the line at 11PM. Other option is (b) have an "on evening" where you're in the library from 6:30PM - 10:30PM for example and get as much as you can done from your list of things to do (point there is to have a 'database' of tasks that you can choose from, so you never run out of to dos and you always find something interesting to work on). Hope that helps!
