On student visa you cannot get a job, as you don’t have full working rights. Mostly students do Security, Uber, and other casual jobs.

I came to Australia about 3 months ago and still no luck finding any job. I wanted to ask as you applied for I.T job giving your husband reference but with me it’s different I want to get a sales assistant job and my husband is civil engineer so we don’t have same field.
