Alright today is Oct 27, 2019. I had an interview for H&M at 10am. So this is my experience. After researching what to expect. I was called by the manager on Friday. She asked me just if I applied and if what my resume said was still accurate. She then made the interview appointment one on one. I arrived at the mall and was greeted by the lady and her “co-manager” they sat me down at the food court and she proceeded to ask me the questions. The questions were the typical “what are you strengths, and weaknesses? What other jobs do you have? What is your availability?” Stuff like that. I replied honestly about my availability and what I do as my full time job. She never asked me about the history of H&M, which I was actually bummed out because I did study the history lol but when we were done she just told me “we will contact you about a second interview if we decide to take you”. I said goodbye and left. It’s 2pm and just received a call from her telling me they decided to have me in the team. The next time I will see her, I will give her my personal info to get the taxes made and for her to register me into the team. I guess every interview is different. But I guess the holiday season does make a big difference, they would want to hire as many people to help as they can, I’m assuming.

Had an interview for my job today, I'm 16 and have no experience however I was still offered the job, the only issue is that the work hours of the shop has been cut so I can't start until the manager sorts out the hours.

@carolinekalaskas75897 жыл бұрын
I applied online and they called me a day after to schedule an interview. You have to go through three interviews which are a group interview, interactive interview, and then a one on one interview. I got a call back the same day after my group interview. After the last interview, I got the callback after a few days and I was told that I got the job at H&M so I'm really happy. :)

Omg I know this is an old video, but I just had my interview with an H&M that is gonna open in my mall soon. I was super nervous since it was like my third interview ever. So I think I did really good until like they asked me about their policies towards the end of the interview lol. I only knew about the cotton and their fur policies. I also knew like the whole history about them too. I'm nervous and I don't think I got it because I knew so little about them as far as in-store policies went, but I would be suuuuper happy if they give me a chance since I have 2 years retail experience!

hey there! did you happen to get the job? they're opening up an H&M at my mall too and I'm having my second interview on thursday! I'm super nervous but i've been doing my research and I really hope i get the job! H&M seems like an awesome place to work at :)
@ModifiedMisfit228 жыл бұрын
gabbsieee No I didn't! Unfortunely I ended up showing up a few mins late to the interview because of car troubles! That pretty much sealed the deal for me lmao. They were nice enough to interview me though so I'll let you know how it went. My interview had two parts (the first one was two managers and the second was just one manager by herself) In the first part of the interview they asked me "Tell me about yourself? Why did you choose to work here? Tell me about your work ethic? Describe good team work to you. Describe good customer service to you. Tell me about a a time you had a difficult customer and how did you solve their issue?" They asked me a few more questions, but I forgot at this point lol. The second part they asked about their company policies and did I know anything about their charity work.(A good answer for this would be to bring up the fact that they use organic cotton for almost all of their products, they don't use any real animal furs in any of their products, and that they a very ambitious company with almost 4,000 stores opened worldwide. They also take in clothes that people no longer want for donations to recycle and use them as textiles for other clothing and products sold instore. Also do some research on who they have partnered with charity wise aka any celebrities or well known organizations etc.). Anyway, like I said I showed up late for my interview so I was kinda screwed from the start lol, I wish you the absolute best of luck and I how you get it girlie!!!!
@gabbsieee9118 жыл бұрын
I'm so sorry to hear :/ i wish you had gotten the job. I'm actually very nervous about getting there late too. They told me all their interviews/training would be held in the nearest open H&M store that's like 40 mins away and traffic is usually heavy from here to there. But other than that, I've been doing A LOT of research on that. I haven't seen anything about their policies/charity collaborations just yet though (then again, i haven't finished reading all of their "About H&M" section just yet.) Thanks so so much for giving me a heads up just in case :) i really appreciate it! I have one question for you though... was this interview just one? also did you happen to have phone interview before all this? bc I did! i had a phone interview then he called me back the next day and offered me a second one but in-person with other people (since he happened to be all the way up in seattle, which is hours away from the store opening up here.) and i've heard people have had up to 3 interviews with them.
@ModifiedMisfit228 жыл бұрын
Thank you and it's ok. I didn't research about their policies and charity work as much as I should have and it seemed like a big deal to them to know about it. So yeah make sure you learn all you can about that in particular! I did get a phone interview when she contacted me to come for the in person interview. She just asked me over the phone why I choose H&M, how did I hear about them, and also was I planning on working full time with them (I work at another clothing retail store, but I wanted a second job for more hours). Yep it was just one interview that had two parts. The first half was the actual store manager for the H&M I applied to with another store manager from the nearest store. Then, the second part was just the store manager from the nearest store asking me questions the policies and charity work/partnerships. I was suuuuper nervous too, because that was like the third interview I've ever had in my whole life lol (I'm 23 btw). I thought I was gonna have a group interview with 2 other people, but it turned out to be just me which made me even more nervous. It might be the same with you so good luck! I really hope you get it cause it does seem like an awesome place to work

Hey, I know this video is 2 yrs old, but I was wondering how you applied for the job? Did you apply online? How long after you applied were you called for the first interview? I applied over the weekend, and when I went to check on the status of my application, the "withdraw" option is no longer available. Does that mean that they are selecting me for consideration, or does it just mean that they've accepted all applications and are reviewing them for potential candidates? TIA!!!

I have an interview this Tuesday for h&m, i want to work part time full flexible during summer but from September on words just work all day on Saturdays ( because i have university) would that be ok? or would you say i should work a late shift another 1 or two days ? also what is classed as a late shift at H&M?
@KianaCairnsxo9 жыл бұрын
NikkiDoll ♥ The contract that I signed with H&M stated that I must be available for 3 shifts a week, one being weekend and shift (closing) and the other two during the week. I know from personal experience that my store wanted me to have an open and flexible schedule but, they are also very accommodating! for H&M (well my store) we classify 2-close as a late shift or anything that is until close is a late shift. On weekdays, for my store anyways, a popular shift to work for WEEKDAYS is 5-close !

+suckstobeyou 94 so to become a DM you either need to be hired externally for that position but usually you have to start as a part time, then be promoted to full time then promoted to department supervisor and then lastly be promoted to DM :)
