I have both of these Kavats! They are super cute, super usefull and jesus are they vicious. My Adarza Kavat was able to strip the armor off 4 heavy gunner then rip then all in half. I didn't even have to do anything. The Ninja Kavat can often protect you from enemies as it's decoy ability litterally draws tons of fires away from you. I love these animals. though currently I think they overshadow the Kubrow. I love dogs but at this point I think DE will need to make the Kubrow more useful so people can make a clear choice of what they want.

Thing to note, if you completed codex scans for the Kavat, Helios will no longer scan them for you. You have to do it manually.

Something I found helpful when farming the Kavat DNA is using Valyr's 3 which lasts just long enough to scan as long as you follow their getup animation and its dirt cheap and you can setup Valkyr to be more or less unkillable in these missions. Also I would recommend doing the capture missions because those spawn corpus which don't have flamethrowers and napalms which can easily kill Kavats before you even see them.

I found that Rhino Stomp is good for helping you scan Kavats, since it freezes them in place but doesn't deal enough damage to kill them.

Writing Kavat on the Market's Home Page search bar will allow you to buy DNA Strains alone, 1 per 5 plat with 50 plat to get 10. Also, Ivara is the perfect frame to do scanning, for Symaris or in general. She doesn't break invisibility while scanning and does not alert enemies to it. You can even bring Helios as well, he will be invisible together with Ivara. And I love my Kavats so much. Cat master race arrived and I am here to serve~

FY: If you havent done the sands of inaros quest yet, its a great place to get kavat genes, however you can only do it once. after you complete the first 60 kills on one of the selected enemy type you go to the tomb where tons of kavats will spawn simultaneously. i managed to get 11 genetic codes in the mission.

you only mentioned the most convenient method for getting the Kavat Incubator upgrade blueprint another is to do Spear, Mars and kill Hyekka masters. and you can hit pay dirt on Kavat Genetic Code by doing the Phase 1 Sands of inaros tomb boss a whole herd of Kavats attack you but getting to the high ground in the room where the phase 2 sacred vessel is found makes it easier to scan them without having to dodge them.

DE doubled the chance of getting a dna so before update i got 3 dna in 100 scans after update got 17 in 50 also bring oberon as kavats won't attack you and they can't be killed by you making it impossible to accidentally kill them. Best mission to do for dna is derelict capture.Incubator segment's bluprint drop chance is really high, it dropped me 3 today and yesterday and i wasn't even farming for them.

IMO Vauban's Bastille is the best method for scans because it won't kill them and makes them completely immobilized

Some people are saying they do, some say they don't. I haven't gotten any with Helios yet, but I can't see why you wouldn't. A scan is a scan. Until then I have an annotation correcting myself.

If you are on console you need to go to Uranus and after a while you will get the Natah quest, beat it and then you get the Second Dream. But on pc you need to complete planets {Probably Uranus}, But i am not sure for pc.

I would say it depend, I have a smeeta and I love the distraction it gives and I sometimes give me forced red crit with any weapon that is to say primary, secundary, melee and in the wiki says abilities even though I haven't seen that yet, double the resources and some other buffs randomly. the other one gives yoy and your team 60% crit chance, no idea if it is for any kind of weapon, and some damage reflection. I hope that a adarsa user come to tell you the good things about that race.

Adarza Kavats for a more consistent buff throughout the game, Smeeta Kavats for casual gameplay

Smeeta cats are the more random ones. The buffs has serveral effects as explained by the video. The charm buff can trigger a 120 second buff that will double everything, from loot over exp and every other pickup. Doing long mission or farm runs will have significant impact on your ammount of resources, as the cat can give you a rare resource(depending on planet) as one of the other random buffs
