Hi! I'm13 months into working as a Clinical Oncology Research Nurse. Your comment (maybe from a different video) about choosing a person for who they are as opposed to their skill level really resonates with how lucky I was to obtain this position. My nursing background was in maternity; so I was both brand new to the world of research as well as oncology. My first two weeks was just as you described- getting access to this and that, and finishing GCP. However, a part from that, there wasn't really an orientation, I've been learning as I go! A few months ago it was so great to have learned about, and learned from your videos! We haven't had any new staff start since I started, but our small team of researchers agree your videos will be a nice intro to new staff members! So a big thank you to you!

Dan, I’m a 3 time stroke survivor. So you can imagine there’s a little bit of a delay. One of my strokes was during my first time as a CRC. I finally recovered enough to get another CRC position. I’m actually pretty good at it. It feels like I have been given a second chance! Have you met anyone else with a background similar to mine. I would love to know if there’s anyone else out there.
