I'd like a video on extra town center placement, or maybe developing early castle age, if town center placement isn't long enough. It's hard to tell when a spot with good resources is worth it compared to the safety of a closer second and third town center.

@@prakash2503_ Bad, because tour bonus food this map is the ships. On land nomad you have only 3 on wood and go to food faster, and after 6 food, wood and start luring everything you can and go fast feudal. I more likely and arabia scout opening, becoause of no water enywhere.

Thank you very much for this video! I had a decent nomad start just from watching many pro games, but usually got loom in dark age. I also like a lot that you discussed so many different strategies that can be used as a follow up. The only thing that was missing for me was what to do if you lose water (probably drop farms). As far as future content ideas go, I really liked the few team game videos you put out, as it is the main game mode for many players. How best to set up an attack, what details to communicate, how much you should propritize a market early feudal, things like this. Maybe this could work as the outlook of a team game build order video.

Very clean build! Now do a nomad start except this time you are right next to an enemy, because for some reason that's always what happens to me, 11. I would be really interested to hear how you would address being neighbors with the enemy on nomad. Would you go aggressive with towers? Just go FC and Castle drop?

sub optimal build order. Generally you need 2 boar and one or two sheep to get fast feudal. After you have 3 on wood the 4th one gets the boar. then you put 3 on boar. Meawhile you have a fishing ship+dock vill gathering food so you have 5 on food in total which is enough to sustain vill production. Rest should go to wood till you have 6. That way you can pump out fish and houses like Hera said. In this bo hera had way too many on sheep (which you shouldn't do) at the start meaning you delay extra fishing ship. Keep scouting the map with ur sheep and once you have taken the 2d boar make sure u send a sheep back so you still have that food in case u need it to click up.

yes, hunt collects faster so definitely take hunt first if possible to keep 1-2 extra villes on wood to get second fishing ship out quicker. Civ also depends a lot and many have sneaky water/fish bonus or things to help you that can save 1-2 villes and get you up quicker around 18-19 ville pop.

Hi Hera, thx a lot for your amazingly helpful videos, quality stuff. I struggle with feudal attack where my military is not efficient. Either running under the TC , or not attacking the vil I want. Could you do a vid about attack stances during a feudal attack, and how and when to attack (like when it is a trade worth it, and when to run). Keep up the good work

Stop thinking military count and start thinking resources. Your 7 archers vs 11 man at arms you can micro and take out the 11 man at arms then you would be up whatever resources it cost the opponent to build those man at arms. Every time you get into a battle make sure you are using the correct troops and look at the resources you’ll be losing if you take the battle and it’s not convenient. Also never idle your army in fuedal you want to keep the constant pressure. Attack wood line once opponent defends his wood line pull back and come around to his gold etc. just do this constantly if he has skirmishers just avoid the fight doing hit and runs.

Sometimes, if you have found an excess of food you should make a few spears (you should do that regardless in fact before hitting castle). In a 1v1 it's ok, but in team nomad someone is bound to make some land units earlier. You don't want to be completely blind and defenceless. Hera was just showcasing a basic macro setup mostly here.

thanks hera. can you tell, can it sometimes be worth it to delay tc drop because of hoping that you might find more resources but wood adjacent? often times 2 of your vils will be approaching each other, so the later the tc is dropped, the earlier the 2nd vil will join building it, which makes the time cost less expensive.

hera, what if you notice that enemies tc is very close? would you still suggest (roughly) this build? recently i had that situation and was lucky to have stone near my tc. i decided to neglect fishboom (only 2 ships i think) in order to get faster feudal into towers. it didnt work, but it might have been just because i did it badly

A few fishing traps don't hurt but don't over do it. After initial castle age, avoid stacking wood too much. Fishing ships lose their meaning and effectiveness as time goes by even with gilnets and traps because both of these are more expensive take more time to produce and are extremely vulnerable. With the Nerf of deep fish spawning in nomad you rarely need very high number of fishing ships, you are better off making a couple extra docks as drop off point, and using the rest of your wood for TCS siege workshop or other land uses in general. You may need a late game fleet in team nomad but that's fairly situational. In 1v1 it's about feudal-early castle water wars then almost exclusively land battle

that sounds really bad, scout with sheep early and if anything make a stable in feudal, and make one scouts from it as they have more line of sight and mobility
