Also I wanna master backdash cancel to catch opponents off guard not embed it in a hook dash to make it look cooler, sure if you hook it technically allows for bigger range of your dash connection or catching your opponent but side dashing is most effective closely and unexpectedly which when you land it you are guaranteed to do your move on the opponent, so I find it better to use it to catch opponents offguard for example, as soon as you try but miss a sidedash on your opponent, you instantly target to back backdash towards your opponent as soon as they think they got an opening for you, sort of like a missed hooked dash but aggressively and fast for defence purpose, btw I would use this method for backdash cancel 50% of the time so your opponent struggles to find any patterns on you.
