Amateur tarot reader here, no one asked but I'm gonna give my thoughts on these choices: From the way I learned it, the Moon's core meaning is things that are hidden/secret, and the intuition/subconscious could be thought of as your knowledge that's hidden from you. When the Moon comes up in a reading, I usually take it as a sign that you *should* be more honest and in tune with your emotions, not that you necessarily already are. Because of this, I think it makes perfect sense that keeping your powers a secret would lead to the Moon instead of revealing them. Similarly, Strength's core meaning is courage and fortitude, so being brave and calling out Mac makes more sense than being a coward and acting like nothing happened. Cleaning your room and weeding the garden makes ZERO sense to me, though, other than what you described, and imo forgiving Mac takes much more strength than walking away/kicking him when he's down. Lovers makes a lot of sense, and I'm glad they emphasized the "making a choice" side of the card, that's an aspect that I feel is often ignored. Still lowkey wish we had a polyam option but that's just a me thing. Temperance also makes sense, though I feel it's kinda lame they just reused Strength's choices when again, I feel it takes a lot of courage to compromise with people you really really dislike. I also feel like cleaning your room would make more sense for Temperance since there's a sense of orderliness with the card. And I honestly love using the Wheel of Fortune as a "hell if I know" catch all.

You're a maniac and I love it! Which path do you feel is the *most* Alex? For my play through, I think I got the Wheel of Fortune. I started the game with her feeling relatively guarded and closed off, but as time progressed she gained more strength and confidence :) I really liked the weeding the garden aspect, because it later links in with an element of Ryan's storyline and what the garden means to him. Congrats on finally finishing the video, and I'm excited to see what you do next (deep dives or more casual videos!). I'd love to know what other games you'd recommend, as I'm done with this one and looking for something new to try out! 🎶unicorn saaandwich🎶

HA! When the trolls come out, at least I know you're in my corner 🤣 That's a GREAT question. I would have to lean the way you went too. I don't think it would make sense if she was super confident and righteous in the begining. I think she would be timid and unsure, given her life experience prior. It also isn't a secret how I felt about the Strength choices though... I'd love for that to be where she ends up as she builds trust, but I don't like the choices that get her there. So, other games... I've been trying to explore that, but the problem is, I'm never as immersed with the storylines & characters as I am with LiS. I started playing As Dusk Falls a couple days ago with a friend which is cool, but I'm not emotionally moved just yet on that one comparatively. We'll see! I'd like to test out games streaming here though and hopefully find something that grabs us the same way.

Oh my gosh.. yes! Me too! When 1 came out, I couldn't stop playing over and over again!! 🥰 Yes! LIS 2 testing is going well so far, but of course SO complex. I'm at about 50 plays of only the first chapter and there is so much to confirm! It's clear which choice affect the results, but still trying to see if different choices have more weight than others. Too fun!

This was an amazing effort to understand the meaning of this!! But I wished the developers translated these variations on her character. Not in bland tarot cards but in the gameplay itself! In how the other characters see you and talk to you, for example. I mean, in Life is Strange 2 you could literally change deeply a character, Daniel. And it's so amazing to see how he grows so differently. How he reacts and talks so differently, whether you choose to give him higher society-based moral values or lower survival-first moral values. This game explores Alex's change, from the timid broken person who leaves foster care into someone that is able to trust again in people and to have a choice of what life she wants to have in the end. The last chapter was so deep in that regard. I just wish they have explored more of her growth, with these subtle variations of how people interact with you, wheter you made her honest and strong or less reliable and confident. Not just in Tarot cards. And I think that's the reason this theme doesn't gatter the interest you deserved for the effort you've made.

I TOTALLY agree. I had a theory that what you get in the Tarot cards for "me" is a checkpoint for a portion of the ending. I'm still convinced there's something there in combination with some of the final choices made that show consequence icons... but so far, I haven't see any differences at all. Even if it is figured out one day, I do which there was more of a change. There are so many opportunities. I don't think it has to be as intense as LIS2 choices were... because there was so much more they had going on (open-ish world, insane new graphics, mini-games, etc.)... but it does leave me wanting more, like it was a bit unfinished or rushed. I still love the game overall.. ya, that's missing for me.

This story captures the angle of someone who is able to escape the foster care system and have a chance to have a normal life. I really appreciate this and I think few people realize how hard is for someone, who has been rejected and has changed "parents" so many times in the few years, to believe again in people and society. On the real world, most of children who, for some reason, end up in the foster care system, will then end up in prison or homeless. The countless times they move from place to place is a huge blow to mental health. Btw, as you are TC best fan ever ;) I've started publishing a cinematic rendition series of True Colors, which tries to catpure all the depth of this side of Alex if you want to check it out :) Already published episode 1 (this one divided on two parts), next episodes will be published weekly from the next saturday.

I also couldn't do calculation that could help predict which choice affected certain results that was DEFINITELY needed for this video especially because it wasn't super intuitive for me. I definitely experimented and adapted the spreadsheet a lot in the last year. Now I feel good to go for the LIS 2 testing & other games too. It's working for me now more than ever! I'd love to show the process one day here...

I wasn't happy with it when it first came out because it was so different from LIS1 and I wasn't expecting that. But after SO many LIS TC plays, LIS2 made me realize some of the components I used to love were missing from TC. I still love TC.. obviously... but I've gained new respect for 2 now. I'm hoping to change minds everywhere 😂

actually i cleaned both the 3 things in the room and did the 2 plant spots, and i also did 2/3 strength choices (didn't walk away from Mac) and still i got the lovers. So the strength doesn't overwritte the lovers

I've heard this from 1 other person too! I'm wondering if there is another Ryan love score point. If you saw the Ryan Love Score video, you'll see that he has 1 less point opportunity than Steph and I tested everything I could think of. That's always been a mystery to me. So, if you track all of your choices (major, minor and everything in between), let me know what they are! This has driven me so crazy lol

Hello :) Wow, I still can’t believe that you managed to figure out the “Me” tarot cards! Not all of them make sense to me (coughStrengthcough), but it’s nice to know how to get them all :) I kinda wish there was an option to draw all tarot cards from the Major Arcana, but that would’ve probably been a little too much to ask ;) My favorite is definitely “The Lovers”, haha ;D I also have a little question! How does the “My power” tarot card change to “The Chariot”? I ALWAYS got “The Tower”, but I’ve seen other people get “The Chariot” instead. However, no matter how positively I tried to talk about my power, it never seemed to affect the tarot card, so what am I doing wrong? :-(

Great question! I had planned on doing a video on this but after 401 tests.. I needed a break 🤪 This ones is dependent on a few things. I never finished officially confirming which of these choices mattered because I got mixed results, but: - Tell Gabe about Powers (not Past) - Say "Superhero" to Ryan (not Freak) on the mountain Those were the only 2 choices that consistently gave the Chariot Tarot. I also tested all other responses that could be related to Powers or confidence. I even tested how much Alex uses her powers and helps other characters around town with them. Nothing else seemed to matter consistently, but that doesn't mean there isn't something else at play. It seems odd to me that only 2 choices would determine this card, but it's definitely possible. Curious what you find if you test it out.

Hmm that’s what I got in my testing a bunch of times even with full love points that I know about (maybe there are more??) but we can only really know what the difference was if you tracked everything. Write down as much as you know for sure and we can compare!

Okay I watched lovepoint video for refremce and that might very well be the case. I tried to get strenght but ended with atleast close to full lovepoints on both of them. Dang should allways take notes with this game just didn't think that my chiristmas playthrough for fun would end in this kind of reslult... I have to say my reaction was pretty close to alexs when it happend becouse I was expecting strenght... Okay I guess I have to try to do some more testing with love points I'll post more if I find something new...

I swear I tested it one time that I tracked and got what you are saying you did… But then when I tried to replicate it multiple times I never got it again. I’ve actually always been curious about that and not sure which test had errors in it so I’d be really curious if you track everything. I’m also really curious about a lot of the first choices with consequences that I haven’t found a relation to at all in anything else in the game. I tested all of those (so I thought) against this too and it didn’t change anything… But maybe there’s something I missed that you caught… Keep me posted!

@@PlayingWithHeart this is getting actually interesting I took 2 points away from Ryan (easier to test quickly) it turned to strenght as expected I took away distraction point away from steph and gave it to ryan it became lovers. I tried to do some testing with hand in marriage, but begining to think that it doesn't effect on tarot, but I really have nowhere near hours you do on this game so I can't say anything for certain. II guess I have something to do for my rest of the year off work...
