I saw on the german tv a couple buying a pair of 14 k gold earrings and for 50 cents at the starvation army store. They brought it to the program on tv. The expert said the earrings are still wearth around 80 euros and they sold them for that price. The earrings were from 1930.

I believe it, there are lots of gold earrings. My best find was a pair of 18k earrings that weight 10 grams. I paid 3.99. In scrap alone they would be worth 400 euro

Yes often times the marks are worn and hard to see

Stop telling everyone! I used to do this but because of idiots telling anyone who will listen it's extremely difficult to find anything of value anymore so i stopped. I could spend all day without finding a single thing worth anything.
