UPDATE: I passed with a 93% 😭 I’m so happy!!! I just want to say I stop going to school in 9th grade, I never thought I would love college so much, nursing is my passion. With that being said , I plan on scoring 90% or better in this class. I will do it and I will come back and update y’all. I literally got GED after being out school for 8 years. I always believe anything is possible with god first. I will apply the same to this course.

@@agustindelgado1218 so what happened did you pass? I’m actually in 10th grade and I’m really unmotivated for the moment because in my country I worked so hard in 9th grade so I could get to 10th grade (I’d say it’s kind of like pre med school but basically 3 years before college/uni) and I am very down right now since I can’t take a break even now.So how is it going for you? I mean is it really possible to get back to school after being out of school for 8 years? Did you pass? Please update!

Mnemonics are soooo important and will save your life: 1. Epidermis Layer of the skin Can Loud Girls Sing Bass? Top layer to lower layer: Corneum, Lucidium, Granulosum, Spinosum, Basale. 2. (These are your immune response to destroyed foreign invaders). 3. Pituitary Gland (hormones) Anterior pituitary- PAM Goes To FL P- Prolactin (PRL) A- Adrenocorticotrophic hormone (ACTH) M- Melanocyte-stimulating hormone (MSH) G- Growth hormone (GH) T- Thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) F- Follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) L- Luteinising hormone (LH) Posterior pituitary- OAt (like Oatmeal) O- Oxytocin A- Anti-diuretic hormone (ADH) 4. Bones of the Ankles Tiger Cubs Need MILC T- Trochelas of talus C- Calcaneus N- Navicular M- Medial cuneiform bone I- Intermediate cuneiform bone L-Lateral cuneiform bone C- Cuboid 5. Bones of the Wrist Simply Learn The Parts That The Carpus Has Must be in this order: Look at a picture if you need to Look at the back (posterior) of your LEFT hand and start your first row from RIGHT to LEFT S- Scaphoid L- Lunate T-Triquentrum P-Pisiform Then, move up (distal) to the 2nd row and start again from right to left. T-Trapezium T-Trapezoid, C- Capitate H- Hamate Anatomical Position- Stand upward, palms facing forward (palms will be anterior, the back of the palm will be posterior) and feet apart pointing forward. If you're looking from the back (posterior) of your RIGHT hand then you would start from LEFT to RIGHT If you're looking from the front (anterior) of your LEFT hand, then you would start LEFT to RIght If you're looking from the front (anterior) of your RIGHT hand, then you would start RIGHT to LEFT Bones are difficult to master when to tell if it is your left or right bone, up (superior) or down (inferior), front (anterior) or back (posterior). It takes up a lot of time and practice. These are just some examples that help me to remember because I would just go crazy without the Mnemonics or acronyms. These two classes are some of the hardest simply because there are so much information and so little time to learn in a semester. Good Luck in your classes!!

@@priv.9173 OMG I never came back to this to share my experience. But yes I did!!!!! Thank God!!! Every class period in lab was a quiz. And no lie the first week I failed my first lab quiz with a 44. I got so discouraged after just one quiz. But at the end of the semester the professor drops two of the lowest test scores. I had no problem with lecture! But after my first quiz in lab , I went ham! And focused on the studying that worked best for me. Which was making note cards. And going to the study lab when I could. If you don't want to go to the study lab or can't. Their is ton of free online study material. I even had someone give me an anatomy dolI. Also printed out my anatomy templates and taped them to my bedroom wall to go over 😄. I was saying all the bones/muscles cat muscles etc. In my sleep lol.. But long story short, my two lowest test scores in lab were that C and that 44 which was dropped . Anyway with my combined two final grades finished off with 90%. Also passed A&P2! Hope this helps! And don't get discouraged if you don't do so well on the first quiz and or exam. Good luck! Sorry such a long paragraph, I just never came back to this. And wanted to share my whole experience. -Happy passing! You got this!

Understanding how something works when it works normally. 💯 percent. This has changed my understanding of A/P completely because before I felt like I was learning backwards like for example learning about an organ or body system when it’s not working properly and I didn’t understand how it got to that moment of dysfunction. A million times, Thank you for this video!!!
@DominiqueDooley
@DominiqueDooley 3 жыл бұрын
Yes! I feel a lot of people get mixed up & start to dislike A&P for that reason. If you understand how it works normally then it’s much easier to critically think your way through! Again I’m so glad this video helped! 😇

This is great Dominique. I teach Anatomy in San Diego. These are all tips that I tell my students, but coming from a student I believe they have more of an impact. I will be sharing this video with my students. One thing I also tell my students..you cannot memorize that which you do not understand.

As a psych student she is right. Even in children, it is KNOWN that even a child is able to recite things that they’ve over heard over and over again. It’s called autonomous learning. This is why we always say that learning starts at home.

I could not leave and not say, that this video has been the most informative and straight to the point by far. I’m a new subscriber! I start my A&P class on 1/09th and I feel much more confident going in. After many years of self doubt and fearing school I went back and completed my GED in my mid 30’s, immediately I enrolled in college. It’s been long, but I am almost at the finish line with my pre-requisite. It’s not easy being an older student and having children, but with GOD there is nothing that’s impossible. Thank you for taking the time to make these videos I look forward to viewing all the helpful tips you’ve provided.
