@@angelasunx3 I do found it useful cause i was thinking about how to rescue my resumé. I didnt go for any extra-curricular activities and Im not sure if my school is a target school. How many internships did you have before you started searching for an IB internship?
@angelasunx34 жыл бұрын
I had about 3 internships prior to my IB offer! I'd say the internship right before (your sophomore summer internship) is likely the most relevant in terms of recruiting.

Are the hours still rough? - If so, would you ; like others have an interest in transitioning to the buy side after two years? I received an intern offer from a bulge bracket and I'm not sure if I'll be able to handle it. Having second thoughts about the industry..
@angelasunx34 жыл бұрын
Yes but not consistently terrible - there are busy times and there are down times. Personally think the experience is worth it, but should think more about what you'd like to do ideally in the future and whether this is a good path for you.

Hey Angela! This entire series has been really helpful. Can you help me to understand how does recruiting after MBA work?
@angelasunx33 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much! If you're referring to investment banking recruiting, there are generally summer programs for MBA students to do a "summer internship" and then get offered a full-time return offer for the following year once they graduate.
@hemangidoye4623 жыл бұрын
Ohh I see! I believe the recruitment process would be the same for Summer Analyst as it is for Analyst-I. On another note, I needed some advice from you regarding career choice. I am currently working for back office of a bulge bracket global bank in India. To move front end office in US, I wish to pursue Master in Finance instead of MBA as I already have MBA from a coveted Indian B-School. Will this be a wise choice?

Thank you Angela, what about sending my CV with my previous works like stock pitch, reports attached in to cold email? or after they accept meeting (showing some works while coffee chatting?)and what do you think about CFA?
@angelasunx34 жыл бұрын
Would attach your resume, but not the rest to a cold email. CFA good to have, but if had to choose one between CFA and MBA would go with MBA.
