WvW is the best place for me to build your legendary armours. since you get clovers while doing so and mystic coins as well. so when you're ready to forge the armour you already have the mats needed for it. also, you forgot to mention the occasional ascended drops :)

I don't know if your trading post prices on EU are similar, but in NA, memories of battle run about 11 silver currently, making a stack of 250 memories cost 27.5 gold...stinks that they are tied to the market like that, so being patient is the only way to go for those just starting out.

EU and NA uses the same trading post. While it does suck that memories are expensive it also adds more value to the WvW players who have their gear and sell them on the TP for PvE players to pay for because they don't want to grind the game mode as much. Both ups and downs about it.

@@Rediche Unfortunately I am still working on gearing up characters, so it's a painful process...having to do some of that in PvE because WvW alone isn't cutting it.

SO ... for someone who enjoys playing GW2, mostly, ... is WvW worth getting into to supplement other methods of getting Ascended gear. ( I have most of my crafting to 450 or above, some maxed , and made peace with PvP, doing that daily, and do dungeons semi regularly. Also sometimes do fractals. And progress the stories.

For legendaries you will need to do WvW. If you're only going for ascended and playing other types of end game, then it will be faster to get from those game modes instead. When that is said, play what you like. All game modes should progress hoj towards ascended at this point 👌

It is indeed! Well, an enrichment, not an infusion. You can get it by completing the Drizzlewood coast meta quite a lot of times. It's called otters blessing: wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Otter%27s_Blessing_Enrichment

Ascended gear makes way too much of a difference in WvW. And getting it is a pain in the ass. As a returning player it's shocking how much of a time sink this game has become.

@@choa91 trying to achieve anything in this game, requires you to spend unholy amounts of time. Of course, if you're a player that already has most of the masteries/mounts/hero points unlocked, you won't feel that way. But if you don't have all those "necessities" (which they really are), then doing anything is going to be a pain in the ass. Especially when you got friends trying to play with you. Most of the time you can't do the things they want to do with you because you're missing some mastery, mount or agony resistance and so on. The other thing is, outside of the story lines, the maps are typical bad MMO maps, meaning that Mobs are spammed everywhere and respawn seconds after defeating. You only want to traverse them once, afterwards you rather use the teleport points cause it's so annoying. Of course that changes once you get the last mount that allows you to bypass all that crap, but requires you once again to waste an unholy amount of time to get it.

@@choa91 if you're about the point of "ascended vs exotic", then simply be aware that even 5% difference makes it an unfair match up in WvW. So trying to do WvW in exotic gear, will just result in you getting killed most of the time. You will be missing health and damage compared to a guy running full ascended gear. Making you die faster and thus dealing even less damage, when running with a zerg.

xaendark ascended is only a 5% increase in stats... all of my toons are on exotics and i have no problems steamrolling people with leggies because the difference in stats does not even matter when theres a large skill ceiling in the game. also, regarding agony resistance and masteries. Those things are the MAIN points of the endgame grind. What you're basically telling me is you want to get those mounts and masteries immediately so that you can go play with your friends, who have already progressed so far in the game. The reason why you feel like its such a chore is because you're immediately springing from one content to another without trying to enjoy it. Also, some content requires you to do the prerequisites in order to experience them (i.e. mounts in dragonfall, gliding and bouncing shrooms in HoT maps, and agony resistance for fractals) Also? I disagree with you saying that achieving anything in this game requires you to spend an unholy amount of time. Are you trying to craft legendaries? because those were designed that way, to be grinded HARD. Masteries and achievement points are easy to get. I suggest you play through the episodes since they reward lots of mastery points.

@@choa91 Maybe you missed the point that I'm a returning player. All my characters are lvl80, full exotic since 8 years ago. And yes, it feels like a chore since I'm trying to catch up to my friends. But here's the point: Initially they said that exotic was the final tier, before they then turned their own statement into a lie by adding ascended gear. Saying that getting ascended gear isn't a time consuming grind, is just an outright false statement to all the new and returning players that don't know any better. I'm not even talking about legendary gear, because that has the same stats as ascended and requires you to be playing since release without any breaks to own a full set. So forget about that. There are things that require you to have specific masteries, otherwise you simply can't participate. For example Leyline Gliding, which is a must for some raids. I've heard the claim "i'm so gud i beat everyone with beginner gear" so many times that it's just become a meme for me. I'm sure, you're a "God" playing every class like Jesus walking over water, owning the rest of us like it's nothing. But by the off-chance that you actually encounter another such "God" as yourself, then those 5% are going to matter. Because then it's you that will be called trash by this other guy while you stare at the death screen contemplating your own life choices, all while he will be telling everyone that he just beat you butt naked and only because of his op skillz. You're also free to disagree, but all I'm stating here are facts. Otherwise, how come that you see all the players that have the Skyscale always using it instead of "enjoying" the stroll through all the mob infested maps? Explain this to me.
