How to use it with youtube. I want to play some instrumentals from youtube for my live music performance
@philmoufarrege7 ай бұрын
Amazing!! I've been trying to do this on and off for almost 10 years and never got it working, and everyone always recommends the stupid voicemeeter banana bs which never works!!! The steps in this video didn't work initially but I scrolled through the comments here and found something that made it work. Update the OBS and instead of using "audio input capture" use "application audio capture" then follow the rest of the instructions in this video (applying the reastream vst to it as a filter etc) worked like a charm!!!!

Great help, thank you. Much easier to understand than the Banana plugin. I don't know if anyone's mentioned it yet, but instead of adding the Gain VST as an OBS filter, add a Noise Gate VST and set the open threshold all the way up to 0db. This will completely remove the mic signal from being picked up instead of needing to add multiple gain plugins.

I know this is old but I had to let you/others know... the reason you're picking up your mic audio on your ReaStream vst source is because you pick Audio Input and then 'windows default,' aka your mic input. Pick Audio OUTPUT instead, since this channel will be zeroed out by design; you can still filter it. Ya silly goose, adding gain compensation :p Thanks for showing me this plugin, so much better than dealing with Asio Link Pro or even my DAWs native asio driver that lets you pull the output somehow (but it has more latency/cpu hit). You rock!

Hey! For anyone having an issue with the Reastream plugin in OBS not picking up audio from your DAW, I found a solution which worked for me at least: When you create an 'Audio Output Capture' withing your scene in OBS, you can choose an audio device, by default it's set to 'Default'. You want to change that to another recording device which you WON'T be using, for me I used 'Stereo Mix'. Add the VST2 effect onto that and some reason it magically works! Hope this helps anyone else who is having this issue! =)

It sounds like it might be CPU load issue. Also according to OBS, make sure to use the same sample rate everywhere in your audio software, external sound card and OBS settings. Preferably 48KHz but 44.1KHz is fine too (and a bit lighter for your CPU).
@NihtCat4 жыл бұрын
OSB has sampling defaulted to 48, but most DAWs do best at 44.1. To change go to setting under File menu, select Audio and change Sample rate, 1st on the list. That fixed it for me.

try these: - Make sure you are using the same sample rate (44.1Khz or 48KHz) in your audio software and OBS (Settings > Audio tab) - Right click the Audio input capture, open "Properties" then select another input device. For some reasons, it might not work with some devices (especially the "Default" one). - In ReaStream in your audio software, replace * local broadcast by 127.0.0.1. It is a special IP address saying "this very own computer". - Try changing to another identifier in both OBS and your audio software. Sometimes, just clicking in the Identifier field and hitting "Enter" can re-instanciate the plugin an make it work.

Hey Adil, how's it going? First of all, thanks for the tutorial, everything worked. The weird thing is that I've been hearing raw instrument input (like guitar with no effects) it might be some step that I skipped? [Also, I included 3 "Gain" to mute completely my microphone lol] I'm using Streamlabs OBS to livestream as well and I set up my microphone as default communication device. Interface "behringer UMC202HD": - Input 1: Microphone - Input 2: Electric Guitar Thanks again buddy!

Not sure how you did it with Streamlabs because I dont think it supports vst plugins like OBS does

@@AdilConstantineMusic Finally I found what was "wrong", in my interface the Output volume were on (around 80%) which make me listen the raw input... thank you so much for the tutorial again Adil, it helped a lot. Cheers!

Thank you very much. In the trial recordings, the sound of the 2nd microphone was coming from behind. I couldn't turn that sound off.. it was a very annoying situation.

Is there any way to also stream the Cue Preview out to OBS? Right now it only streams audio when I hit play, I also want to stream the click track and preview of samples in ableton. Thanks!
@AdilConstantineMusic2 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately with this setup you can’t get the sample preview sound from browser out because that sound doesn’t go through the master track where the plug-in is. If you route your click track to master then you should be able to get that audio out to OBS
