Super cool lighting concept I haven't seen before! Thanks for sharing

Yeyyy nice that you're back! When you gave the ceiling the trans sunset colors I instantly got inspired! I did some experiments with making a studio out of screens (Mandalorian style) and projecting an HDRI on them but I couldn't really get good results out of it. Maybe you can make "the screen as lights" idea work. It would also be fun to see you build exterior presets like this if you'd feel like it. There is a lot to explore with just sunlight alone.

So great to watch you work. I know it can be weird to just go for it and riff on camera, but it's so illustrative of the processes!

Great Video! 🚙 One of the best work experiences I have had related to becoming proficient in CG lighting is working for a furniture manufacturing and marketing company. Working in a studio environment with a real world photographer shed all kinds of balanced light (pun intended) onto what it means to create a mood through the use of light! 👏👏👏

We used to light and shoot cars for internal videos for BMW and Volvo, and I can tell you that invisible lights and stands would have been a tremendous help! Also, in Blender you don't have to worry about the camera and jib casting shadows or reflections. 🚕🚜🚚

🏎 Thank you for sharing! I always struggle with car lighting, even when all I do in Blender is car/liveries renders. But, I learned some useful tricks from the video that I can apply to my own renders and give them a bit more "oomph" (for lack of a better word).

Just curious; how do you learn to make complex material nodes? and do you just copy the materials to your new projects?

How would you recreate something like this in Eevee?

🚙🏎🚔Really enjoying the lighting lines on the car as the subject (the model is fab!) >> makes for very interesting variations in composition >> with an environment like the one you have set up here you could be lost in there for ages (!) great work I do feel inspired by this for sure... Ben Dynamics 👌💯👀🎯😎🌟
