1. Take care of yourself. 2. Clear your mind. 3. Actually do the thing! 4. Get motivated by setting yourself up for success. 5. Do a study session with a friend.

I've been depressed for over 3 months and I did absolutely nothing, I kept falling to my darkest each and every time when I realized I haven't done anything, but now it's the time for me to stop regretting and start to work before it's too late, I don't want to regret anymore, I'll do my best even though I do a bit per day, that way I can be proud of myself that I did at least one thing. Start from little! Thank you for this video 💕 you really gave me motivation to keep it up💕

I've been trying to learn French and Japanese languages. The first week runs okay but then I feel demotivated and stop learning. Once I tried to learn Hebrew, I got subscribe me to enroll in an online course but I was afraid and never continued any more. How can we overcome fears?
@sonjah.62094 жыл бұрын
It's so interesting how differently people experience life. I've got lots of fears in life, but not when it comes to language learning! Some things that I have done to overcome fears: Bring myself in a situation where I just HAVE to do what I'm afraid of. I overcame my fear of driving by accepting a job in a place that I could reach by public transportation in an hour and a half, or by car in twenty minutes. I deal with my fear of flying by thinking about what I will experience once I have arrived and assuring myself that it's worth it. (And a lot of breathing.) If I have to speak in public or appear on stage, I just do it and get it over with, even if I'm not ready to do it yet. (The last example might also I apply to speaking in a foreign language.) So, all in all, maybe my advice would be: Be realistic and be safe, but within these limitations: jump right in. Oh, and another thing that motivates some people: Having paid so much for an expensive language course that you would really feel bad about not doing it.
@MariPolyglot4 жыл бұрын
I totally agree with all that Sonja Said!! I find that sharing my language with other people helps me a lot. (even though I am terrified of meeting people. my anxiety kicks in and it's awful) but I still do it. I thinks purpose plays a big part too. Knowing why I learn languages ia great way to push myself to face my fears. Highly recommend you watch @helloFears a channel that inspires me to be brave.
