I've been playing with the same tanks for about 11 years, I use to grind fall all the top tanks in the game but it took to much of my time and by the time I got them Wargaming nefted them rending them weaker as they were before .

I followed your advice a few years ago. I sold off all those tanks I really didn't like playing, stopped grinding just to grind. That was when I finally figured out that a good crew makes more difference than going up a tier. Now I have 4 tanks that I play. 3 are mid tier and one is my tier X SPG (Obj 261). I am not sure I will keep it. I had a lot better games with a couple of the lower tier Russian SPG's. I might even go back to a T34 :)

You use this as some sort of justification as to why you are probably a bad player. You can't stop blaming the game instead of admitting your own faults.

You shouldn't go assuming everyone with an unpopular opinion is a bad player. That was uncalled for. It does me no good to go out in a heavy tank when other players just press 2 and shoot holes in me all day long. I'm sick of the solid gold hit logs. So yeah, you wanna have great stats, just press two baby!!

@@mrbill8763 Everyone I've encountered with this mindset is a bad player. A good player knows their armour's limits and will play around that, because that's literally the purpose of gold shells, to punch through armoured targets. I am a heavy tank player and I know that I will get shot with gold, but I work around that and adapt, unlike you, who is just whining in KZbin comments.

I've noticed that wargaming still haven't fixed the late rendering of the shots after the roll. E.g tanks that explode before shell "arrives " by rendering shell missing yards away....

There are only a few maps where I will try and passively spot, the rest is incidental spotting while trying to take shots myself, i've got better at spotting over the past month but not a master of the mechanics, would rather troll and do damage

Claus you talked a lot about power creep lately. In your opinion is this mostly for tanks in tier 8 and above? I was thinking it doesn't really impact tier 5 and below.

Disagree, the Matilda used to be awesome to play. Now almost every other tier 4 has gold and can pen, and even with turbos it cant get beyond 27 kph. Seems like all the 'old' tanks have been left behind regardless of tier.

I sometimes catch flack for having so many games in mid-tiers ... I can't help it that many of my favorite tanks that I find the most fun to play are tier 5. I play for my enjoyment and to blow off steam after a stressful day at work. I'm not sorry that I don't play my game the way someone else thinks I should. I have fun and make credits in the mid-tiers. It's just a game.

play what you want and how. I get pm`s from ppl telling me how bad I`m and telling me my stats. sad really. I know I`m not a good players but I get the pm`s even when team mates do way less. On a positive note if someone on either team does well send them a pm now and then. some dont reply but others say its good to hear from non toxic players, I do berate ppl sometimes tbh but never ever talk about stats.

I was so happy to start getting good spotting and Patrol Duties but now it's more of a hybrid game for me. I try to spot early and then I have to snipe to really help the team. Spotting alone is not enough a lot of the time. The word could be: UNINTENTIONAL spotting damage

Hey Claus - "Unintentional"! or "inadvertent"; either works. And the moral of the game is: pay attention to your White Circle! And the tank I luv is my Skorp G. I bought it well after its original release so the "honeymoon" glow was pretty much nerfed off at that point, but is a sweet sniper with a great gun and I like its better mobility vs the 130PM.

"honeymoon" is any new 2 U tank without a great crew U get no honeymoon if U put bounty bond stuff and/or +4 or5 perk crew / when i first got my SkorpG it was 2 years old just the 100% no perk crew that come with it man i could cut tier 10 heavys down like lites gun would hit like 90+% and pin90% of them now it cant hit the barn its parked inside and if it does hit almost always bounce i cant pin tier 6 lt's much less the tier10 superheavys i used crush so ez but then that was b4 i had a 6perk crew

Same here. Sold most of my T10s except a couple of each branch (had nearly all T10s) holding on to a handful of T9s, still too many T8s, but my favorites working on 3 stars? T7 Brit and Japanese TDs and about 8 T6s. Of course in lower tiers you get more muppets so battles are never a sure win, but WG blew it when they made getting a T10 easy. Now you get just as many muppets in T10 and it costs a fortune to play them.

I've only spotted, like 3 spots to win the daily challenge. I actually get a real kick out of the German "Luchs," even though it isn't a real spotter light tank. A 20MM gun with about 10 shots between reloads. It does fire the 3 standard rounds, AP, APCR, and HE. The HE is about worthless. Not a lot of damage from a 20MM HE round. I've done pretty well I think, using AP and APCR. The composite rounds are sorta pricy, but if you got millions of credits to burn, then go got it! I've killed several other tanks with the Luchs. And it's got good speed, and you can duck and dodge pretty well. I don't win every single match... But it's not up to the smallest tank on the team to do the most damage. However, WOT doesn't put you in a winning team every match. Many of my losses are because the 'team,' doesn't seem to even care about winning. "Why are they even there?" Gotta be something else, some other games they can go to. Maybe WOT should have an age separation between players. Many of you got to agree, that the best matches we get into, are after all the little 'cookie crunchers,' and 'curtain climbers,' have been sent to bed. Anyway, I think the Luchs is a cheap tank to buy. And to own and supply. Ammo is fairly cheap. Skill up your crew and get whatever you think will help.

@@The_Ball_Snatcher SPGs are part of the game. That IS normal game play as much as any other tank. But no worries, I no longer play the game. And I have tried the other tanks. I wasted a whole lot of time grinding my SPG... been in the game since BETA... now all that time is wasted and I am expected to start over new? Shove it where the sun don't shine. I'll stick to watching these videos.

Day 3 was yesterday, still mostly (90%) bot rounds. I've found that if I physically shove my team mates into position they do much better. When dead and watching their positioning, it is very chess-like. They repeatedly attempt to flank, hardly ever charging in, there is a lesson there.

Don't shove your teammates if they don't have the bot badge next to their name. Just don't. Let them learn in a learning environment. Not only is it unsportsmanlike, but it's a bannable offense, so you are just one ticket away from a 3-7 day vacation.
