Its amazing to me that there are parts of Colorado that are 7a. Then again, my brain always wants to put Colorado where Wyoming is, so that's a me problem. I'm in 7b in Virginia, and I've tried softneck 3 or 4 times now, and never had it come up in the spring. I've been doing porcelains and purple stripes for a couple years now, and they've been pretty much bulletproof. 100% of cloves come up in the spring. And yeah - its super easy and everyone who gardens should be growing it. I had so many extra Chesnock Red cloves this year (there are like 12-14 per head) that I've just started sticking them in flower beds and borders and wherever else I have space.

@@rich63113 I’ve been here a long time and I still struggle with it 😁. Sometimes I see that it’s a blizzard on the eastern slope and it’s 60 degrees and sunny here.
