Hi Lee the turntable arrived 2 hours ago, first piece of dried flower head was a spectacular failure. i looked at this video again, added my specs, a Tripod, 2 second timer (all age related requirements) and a different flower head this time resting on the turntable and bingo, Full House. One happy bunny. Its not a prize winner but who cares. Thanks for the channel and keep up the education.

A few years ago I rescued an old artificial Xmas tree from going in a skip. This has a motor with a rotating disc with coloured gels and a small bulb in the base. It was always my intention to do something like you have done with it. Alas, always other projects have gotten in the way, soap bubble at the moment, flash and now vid. and faced the same problem you have with this set up, unwanted reflection. To get the basic shot is easy, its always those final touches. Killing most of the ambient light is the first step. Like your vids., gets people realising how easy things can be, I am an old hand at improvising and diy.

I think simply is always the best way. We always over think things and make things to hard. And we really miss how simple things can be better i love messing around with odds and ends.

@@LeeHallphotography l am 70, Lee l took photography up few years back when l had to pack fishing in, l like the outdoors so nature particularly birds were my go to shots 12 months ago l bought the 90D good number because 90 percent of the camera is beyond me lol, just before Christmas l bought a macro lense and l love the concept love it.....so l look up on KZbin for inspiration and most of the time l love what l see but there are so many elements to what l am seeing l leave the video because at seventy l basically can't take it in ...you have a way with you of clearing the mist and l love what l am seeing and l am so so appreciative thank you 👍👍

I also love my fishing I was brought up fishing on canals as my horse backed onto one so from the age of 8 I was down there most days. Then I started fishing on rivers and pools. So I think that is why I love nature so much. I don't go very often now but hopefully I will get back into it one day. I find photography a fantastic pass time and spend many hours messing around with things in the house. Some times it works and some time it doesn't but its like fishing patients pays off in the end
