I have absolutely mastered landing at the rebel bunker south of Pleasant Plaza, I accidentally queued for solo squads and 2-3 teams landed there (all the ones I fought were real) and I SMOOTHLY made it out without a scratch, the only thing that was a bit rough was i kept running out of ammo. It’s the GOAT spot. Sidenote; you can use a flow berry into a launch pad and it gives you like 700m distance.

Ive somehow managed to get 10 crown wins this season already. It feels so difficult and sweaty to win this season but ive gotten over triple the crowns that i had last season already. I think the attachments have really made a difference in my gameplay

I just got into fortnite a couple of weeks ago and found myself putting a lot of hours into zero build. Had figured out a good chunk of stuff in the game, but felt like i was missing some pieces. Not a ton of videos out there that were helpful but then stumbled upon this one and have to thank you so much! Still a lot to learn but this was really the first video i thought did a good job of not only giving tips but explaining the thought process and reasoning behind them. The map is definitely larger, you can tell by the minimap scale. Previously if two things overlapped on the minimap, they were side by side in real space. Now, they might be 50-100 away (this becomes really clear if you get caught in storm)

Definitely agree that cars are very useful. I use them every game if possible as well as carrying shockwaves. I don't usually bother with the workbenches - more hassle than it's worth really. I can usually find a set of weapons that I'm happy with from chests and kills. I collect medallions if I find them or kill someone with them but don't make a point of systematically getting them from the bosses. They are very useful though to see where other players are during the endgame. Position is critical so it is invaluable to see where people are so I can target or avoid as needed. In a recent game I used a car to drive right up to a player carrying 3 medallions and eliminated them in seconds with an SMG at point blank range. Very satisfying 😄

I've played dozens of matches since CH5 came out and I haven't even bothered using the workbenches to modify weapons (yet). I just take what the game gives me and I've done pretty well so far.

You dont really need to upgrade your weapons. Its nice to but you can normally just take someone else's weapon once you kill them theyll likely have it all upgraded for you. I upgrade every round regardless but i just have gold overflowing out of my ears at this point so spending it doesnt bother me.

10 crown wins in solo and 2 in duos. The tallest mountain near Hazy Hillside is an amazing landing spot. From there either gather Montague's medallion or slide down the mountain. There'll always be a car around - Whiplash & shotgun combo is godly (until the very endgame).

Just uninstalled Fortnite for the first time since the Mid chapter 2 days. This season just isn’t it man as a sweaty no build’s player. My biggest problem this season is the bullet drop aspect with both ARS at medium-long range it just slows the game down and each fight in that situation just feels awkward now. It’s impossible to adjust to since every fight in zero builds is different and the mechanic seems super inconsistent from fight to fight. It should have just stayed hitscan just like it has always been. Now it’s just a PUBG/Fortnite Frankenstein abomination. And I haven’t even mentioned the super OP snipers and nerfed movement. Never know just how good something is until it’s gone and that was basically the entirety of chapter 4 zero builds (except maybe a little bit of chapter 4 Season 3) maybe one day I’ll return if things go back to the way they were. I’ll still always support you Jake and watch every video even though I won’t be playing lol.🤣🙏🏽

I have absolutely loved these AR's I'm legit beaming people down. All it takes is practice. I mostly play overwatch, I'm very used to projectile aiming. It's very easy for me to just annihilate someone while we are both moving. They miss most of their shots I hit 90% of mine.

I have mastered landing off to a little village on the bottom right corner of the map. I can consistently win there but when I shake it up and land somewhere named I just get drilled at the beginning. Thanks for the help again jake

really good advice, I find myself consistently in the last 5 or 3 people with around 6-8 kills and then I lose due to the moving zones + having no car so I think that radio tower and cars will be a tremendous help

I can see the pros of dumping the medallions, however, at end game the storm circle is so small that the medallion circle is going to be larger unless you are carrying all the medallions.

It’s doesn’t only the 4x sniper scope has glare. If you put the 2X on nobody will know your aiming at then with a sniper until you shoot. But if you put the 4x on a AR people will see glare and assume you have a sniper.

I have 2 crown wins I think. But I have like 15 wins. I havent tried Ranked yet... The map is enormous. I have been trying harder to get the medalions...normally I go to Grand Glacier. But I usually run out of time to use the work bench. I did beat Valeria at the railway but then got 3rd partied and lost both medalions😂 I really like the Hyper SMG with site and supressor. Cars are probably the way to go. Good tip! I have been using the dirtbike. The map is so big--I know there are places I havent even been yet, but I want to.

When I die endgame I find it is usually for the reasons you said, I either didn't have a vehicle or I wasn't properly positioned for the storm and got picked off while getting there. Most games that I've gotten a storm tower were either high placements or wins. Never really made that connection before but now it makes perfect sense. I've adopted the loadout you suggested and love it! I was running AR, pump, sniper anyway, but in closer encounters I always wished I had an SMG. Since insisting on the Striker and Frenzy shotgun I don't even miss the SMG. And that mythic Striker AR is deliciously lethal!

Ive played 100 matches. Got 4 wins so far..and 1 crown win. Ive been playing since march i can do close combat i can reposition i can beam and my movement is good. But i just feel like at this point i should be winning way more often. Og season i was winning 3 times a day this season not so much obviously. Idk what is wrong 😢

@EvolveJake so what I learned from this video is to eliminate the medallion players if you feel the time is right, try to fight those better players and get them back to the lobby. Get your forecast tower and then rotate outer zones until endgame. By then, it's just situational plays. Am I right?

I've been landing at grand glacier most games I find it's a good strat because not many people will drop and its unlikely you get third partied early game. plus medallion and vault obviously. After that I go to radio tower as you mentioned it spawns in guaranteed nearby place and I'll sometimes kill the medallion player from reckless railways. I have died a few times endgame because I chocked when i tried to push someone coming in from the storm when I should have just stayed in my safe spot (using forecast). Once I accidentally fell of a hill into the storm and into the fire of the last player, i had 8 kills so was not happy lmao. no crowned wins but 3 solo and 1 trio, I often find that once I win a game im unlikely to win another and I often win the first or second game if I win at all. I think from now on once I get a win I should come off to quit while I'm ahead, winning a game is my goal most times I play.

I'm at the point that I think this season is about Lego and Racing. Listening to this explanation of medallions, weapon benches, vaults, radio stations, and the spawn island makes me miss the OG season so much. We need simplicity, after OG there's little incentive to play a season like the current one. Thankfully there's Racing and Lego though.

I can see that. C4S4 made the mid game objectives almost necessary. I don't think it's the same for C5S1 except for the towers and medallions. The weapons cache and island are not important anymore. I'll go for island purely for movement. Workbenches/Medallions are important and give an advantage definitely.

So I'm a bit of a fortnite noob... Didn't really ever start playing until zero build, only played a couple matches till recently. Now I'm taking it kinda seriously and dropping some Ws. But just a quick question if anybody can help: Do gun colors/rarity matter at all, other than attachments? I only wonder because I really don't like having a sight on my AR, so sometimes I'll purposely pick a green over a blue for example. Just wondered if I'm hindering myself in any way, with dmg or anything. Gold guns definitely *feel* like they drop people super quick.

as rarity increases damage also does along with reload speed and for some weapons recoil gets better as well. on weapons you find higher rarity will come with more attachments but any rarity can fill all 4 attachment slots if you bring it to a bench. for ars if you have a green with attachments you like that probably would be better than a blue with attachments you hate because the damage increase is typically only 1 or 2 per color upgrade on ars. For snipers I pretty much only care about the attachments cause they all 1 hit to the head anyway and 100+ body damage. The weapon type I care about rarity the most is shotguns because they tend to increase more damage per color increase than other weapons and their damage varries the most based on how many pellets you hit so the more damage the better.

There’s this house on the edge of the map on the side where the peter griffin boss Spawns near the snow. it’s not every time, but when you open the vault, there’s a work bench that was the first time I landed there the second time I landed there it wasn’t there

the npcs have very weird routes this season much further from the tower than before and sometimes will hug mountains under the tower and you cant really see them from the tower itself.
