tnx for the vid... my runs keep improving as I keep getting new gear and i'm working out the smaller kinks... I usually go to the cave just before the snow biome, but in my best run i managed to make it back to my pod before 20:00 on the first day... so once i get the beacon i can prolly shave down at least another 10m of the run :) also, cave can very rarely spawn a second node :)

Good video. There are alot of guides on youtube that are pretty dates since they were made when the game first got. What are other ways of making Ren? What are the best workshop stuff to take early game? Im almost afraid to use since i have so few Ren

@@hakonbogen I know this is 3 months later and I'm sorry I'm just now seeing your comment. Ren is fairly easy to get by just completing missions. The first one beachhead you can just drop down on then upload without even doing it and you get 25 ren. Thanks for watching! Not sure why my studio didn't pick up on your message.

Yep after you complete it once it unlocks the exotic’s in caves that’s true. 😀 I had one spawn in the cave I set up in.

Excellent video, I saw a couple of others but yours is the best so far. Tips like the cold debuff I've never heard about, you show how to get to first cave and build the essentials which most KZbinrs also leave out. This is the first time I see someone go South route. Would it be ok to go from the first cave North as then one doesn't need to walk so long in the Arctic? I'm currently stuck in the Icestorm mission and lost my character there due to a polar bear who could see me despite being stealth and I was behind a mountain ridge which he jumped over to kill me. Thanks also for the "cheese" comment, now I know how to avoid dying next time. Last thing, didn't even know that I can survive the Arctic cold with that first level gear that is the only one that doesn't require Textile bench (if I'm correct).

Hey thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed the video. You can go through either way you want or feel comfortable doing. This is more like a guide that if you wanted to modify it to your playstyle or taste, you could still have the same outcome such as adding more gear or maybe stone structure. This is just bare minimum to extract the exotics at the earliest point in the game. And yah if you need to you can use unstuck :P You can also matador the polar bears now as well. Just using a bow and arrows or if you get even better at it you can use the spear or knife even. Here is an example of the jousting in case you didn't know, if you did sorry and disregard kzbin.info/www/bejne/rWXSaqSBi6iWl5I You will never need to worry about the artic as long as your resetting the cold de-buff. Works the same way as you reset the Cave De-buffs and you have a lower chance of getting pneumonia. I'd always take a campfire at least and structure. At least a Fire. You get one storm per forecast block so.. it could happen and getting stuck in a snow storm sucks. As for the cloth armor that is correct the other armors are behind the textile benches. It's easily crafted in your inventory. You could go naked with a pickaxe as long as your resetting your cold de buffs every 5 mins and using shelter for storms with the campfire. You can also use emergency heat as well like lighting up a thatch ramp and repairing it for as long as you need it. And as always if you have any more questions, I'll answer em =)

also you cant actually do this mission as the last update messed up the 3 addition nodes spawning. But we spoke with them and it's gonna be fixed in next weeks update. =(

@@LateNightStream Thanks for the add-on comment and yeah, I don't know how to joust a bear (that's why I got killed I guess). How can one debuff the cave pneumonia? You mean by going in and out within a time period before it happens? I read about using heat bandages as well for the Arctic but never used them.

@@AndreasWest Yes exactly going in then leaving before you get it just a few mins in then out to reset it. OR just carry cures with you later on. Heat Bandages are useful if you get hypothermia. Which I never get resetting the cold. Do this. Drop down with a naked character. Use what you can build up to and then try it. You can never lose your character now, so there would be nothing to lose. =) Then go up in the artic and play around or what ever you wanna do.

Which of the missions you can do solo and which ones you don't recommend trying by yourself?

You can technically do most missions by yourself. Some of the boss missions that require you to kill scorpion bosses and sand worms are a lot tougher solo. If your solo a lot I’d just take my time and build up. I play solo like 70 percent of the time. Join our discord people usually willing to play in there myself also when I have time. I wouldn’t recommend alcazar construction by yourself.

How many exotics do I gather, or what do I unlock before this isn't an efficient method?

You could go do the extraction missions payday extraction but sadly you gotta build up. It would take so much more time. Once you get to migrating sands this becomes obsolete. We have a video on that also. You get around 60-64 with this method a run. Once you get workshop gear this can be done in 15 mins or less if you wanted to keep farming it for exotics and ren. Hope that answers your question 😀

Anyone who joins gets the full amount of exotics so you could have your friends drop in before you upload them! You have to be dropped down on the mission before it’s completed or before the exotics are sent up to get full credit so if you get 62 everyone who has a drop ship on planet will get the 62. Etc

Unless I’m missing something this is basically a long winded version of saying do the first exotics mission to get exotics. The walk through for the mission was well done. But any idiot can figure out that doing the first exotics mission will get them exotics. The title of this video however implies that your providing additional information beyond the obvious which you in fact did not do

Alright sure! This is a beginner guide try one of the many others we have. This guide shows on of the fastest way with locations for new players to get exotics when they are new. That’s by doing this mission. We also show the optimized build up and locations of all 4 nodes granting 60-64 exotics a run. The title does exactly what it says.
