A lot of people are ignorant to the fact that sometimes people have weak edges or no edges just naturally ,and it's not due to abuse or a wigs or braids. So I'm glad you shared. I don't have this problem but I know people that do and it can get worse as you get older. I do have times where spots and my temples go bald in a circular pattern due to hormones. I can nurture them back but it means no relaxers anymore. I think it's amazing that you shared this and you're just gonna get blessed for it. So thanks for having the courage to leave everything in place and move forward in power. Will's slap has had a positive side in educating on alopecia.

I decided to comment to let you know that you are not alone girlfriend! I've had traction alopecia for years and I had no other solution but to slap a wig on my head everyday. I can never wear the braid styles, the ponytails, the sew-ins, the crotchet locs or anything all the other girls wear and that has dampered my self esteem so much. You have to walk around everyday subconsciously knowing that there's a part of you that you have to hide and that's not easy to cope with. Worst off i've been married for 4 years and im still embarrassed to let my husband see my hair. I always keep a wig on or a hair bonnet on when he's around. So i must definitely say, kudos to changing the game with this one!

As so many have already expressed, thank you so much for being so transparent and sharing this. I know it was not easy. I also appreciate your integrity in that you gave credit to the person you got the idea from. I watched her video years ago and think the technique is genius. Thank you again and know that even though some may criticize, you've blessed countless others.

I'm 32 and started losing my hair about 2 years ago.. it will not stop falling out and I'm starting to get very thin on the sides. My doctor will not help me figure out what's going on. It hurts so much and is embarrassing so I understand what you're going thru. But I have to tell you that you're absolutely beautiful!!! With or without edges! And please ignore the people that are mean to you, they obviously have something going on in their life that they have to take out on someone. Or they have to put down others to feel better about themselves. It's very sad, but you seem like an AMAZING beautiful woman helping others! There is absolutely nothing wrong with you!

You look gorgeous…love the ponytail! You’re a very brave woman. Sorry that people are so inconsiderate and ignorant to the fact that this is a health issue. Blessing to you!😍

I can sooo relate to you girl! First off, you are STUNNING, such perfect skin & features! I'm a white girl, so i just have always called it having a high hair line or huge forehead, cuz I've never heard of the edge thing. I'm either in a ball cap, hair down, swooped pony or some kind of wide headband or very rare occasions a high bun with lots of hair magic in the front! Keep doing you! Lots of us just like you out there! ♡

You're so freaking gorgeous, gorgeous, GORGEOUS💕 and I'm so proud of you for sharing this. It took so much courage, you have no idea. Also, anyone that tries to judge- alopecia can literally happen to anyone! It's soooo common and can be due to genetics, hormones, underlying health issue- ANYTHING.

Thank you for being so transparent. I think you were beautiful without it, but you’ve inspired me. Thank you and please don’t let the negativity distract you from helping others who have been affected by hair loss.❤

Just ..thank you‼️ I’ve dealt with the same condition as you for as long as I can remember (and I’m 40). Therefore, I definitely relate to your heart and story. We as human beings must learn not to judge a person without knowing their story. Again THANK YOU for being so brave. You are unquestionably the encouragement many of us need right now.👍🏽

You just saved my confidence!!! I suffer from hair loss due to a surgery I had a few years ago and my edges are GONE! I just bought that Toppik stuff that did not work and it looked terrible. Thank you for your courage to share a vulnerable piece of you with the world girl. My son also suffers from hair loss alopecia which started at age 3 when he loved to wear his hair cut in a mohawk like his big brother. That hurt my heart. At one point he was completely slick bald and almost losing his eyebrows, but God....one year his hair just started growing back and now we can keep it cut low even though it is still patchy in some areas. I am running out to my beauty supply to go grab some hair to try this technique because I love to style my hair be became self conscious with hiding my edges over the last few years. Much love to you dear!!

I've never had edges before not having edges was a thing or issues for so many other people talking about edges. They have always been thin. I Never cared what people thought or think. You continue to be great and shine with or without edges. You're still beautiful. People find something to talk about good bad or indifferent.

I haveI alopecia in the back of my hair. I’ve always have long hair to hide it so people didn’t & still don’t know unless I tell them. I cried because I wanted a short haircut & I found a hairstylist that cut my hair super short & hide my bald spot perfectly. Thanks for being so strong & confident❤️ #Flawless#Beautiful

This is so wonderful - thank you. I experienced hair loss as a result of too tight braids and over styling. I found out the hard way that hair changes over time and what you can do in your twenties you can’t do in your forties after having kids- even though I was taking vitamins. You are truly a blessing

Thank you for your bravery and transparency of sharing your hair journey. I started having traction alopecia in my 20s from braids, tight hairstyles and chemical processes. Over the years it has gotten worst. Now in my 40s, I’m also losing hair from hormonal changes and health issues. It is one of my insecurities and I’ve tried some products, wear wigs and hide my hair majority of the year. I definitely want to try a style like this since it’s been years since I worn a ponytail .
