Im back after watching this 6 months ago to update you. You were so helpful and I did everything you said, it was an easy process and I received so much help from MYCAA. I am now 5 months into using the scholarship to get my associates. Spouses, please take advantage of this money. I’m using student loans to pay the rest of my schooling but any money helps lower your out of pocket cost. Thank you again so much Victoria!

How long did it take the DOD to send the tuition?

@@notorriousrosser1610 after you get approved you can print your reward letter right away and turn in to the school. I was about 3-4 weeks from starting my class and the money was applied as soon as the school billed me

I’ll be 18 in May 2019 and my boyfriend soon to be husband will be in the Air Force and I want to be a dental assistant, currently I’m taking a dental class right now during high school so when I graduate I can take my radiology exam.. anyways your videos are so helpful Ive been looking for someone who I can somewhat relate to and it’s nice to hear more information from someone who’s been through or is going through the same stuff

You can use the MyCAA scholarship on a degree program you just have to have to pay for what ever is left over past $4000. I was told by a MyCAA rep!

every state has different requirements of whether they want you to be registered, certified, or neither or maybe even both. you can google that info :)

this is a scholarship programs for military spouses! it will work towards your associate, you will need to talk to a MYCAA rep at your base!

So my boyfriend is in the Army, after AIT we’ll get married and I’ll probably go live with him to everywhere he gets stationed, I’m hoping to earn an associates degree after highschool (currently a senior) and then go into a dental hygiene program, if we were to go over seas how would I be able to attend the program after getting an associates degree? ( I don’t think the program is available online) I know Im very young but unfortunately In order to be together I’d have to follow him, all of this has been extremely stressful, especially the unknown. My future husband is in basic training right now and we’ll be getting married soon and I want to go into Dental assistant I live in Canada he lives in the US. Some of my family are saying that I should do the training here since its a year and 3 months and some are saying I should do it in the states. Since the military provides MYCAA for military spouses maybe I should go for it and maybe I should find out if Canadian training certificates are eligible in the US as well. I have a questions about the grant sorry again I been out of college for a while so how does it work as for receiving it and how soon do you receive it? Is it like in a student account? Or they give a check or already in the system? My certificate course tuition is 3,950 and with my grant I’ll have $50 left and I’m sure that wont cover all expenses

Victoria Parker so when I signed up for my program MyCAA paid for it with my grant and mine was around the same cost as yours and I didn’t get the extra $100 or so. If you go to a school through MyCAA the books and materials needed are provided for you!

no the dental assisting program isn't even an associates degree! it's a certificate program.
