This is awesome just for the fact that you include your daughter. I have a 4 year old and a 1 year old who both very much want to be included when I do anything with inks or fountain pens. It's nice to see a fellow enthusiast have the same struggle. While it's stressful I'm glad I can share those moments of shared interest with my kids. Great video!

Your daughter sounds adorable!! She sounds just like my 3 year old girl when we get a pen package. First it’s a toy than it’s a surprise and then she’s super excited for me and mommy. She actually has 2 of her own fountain pens and my 10 and 6 year old have a few of they’re own too. We don’t let them fill or mess with the inks but we let them pick the color and write with them

Nice! That's fun. My daughter has a strong preference for my Platinum Prefounte. It's kind of hers now. I'm glad it's not an expesive pen, but she still only gets to use it when closely supervised. I hope she stays interested as she gets older!

Thanks! I'll try to keep that in mind as I make ink videos. I have Diamine Noel in one of my pens at the moment, and it's a lovely deep red with some sheen, and I like the flow of it.

Strange! I wonder if you have to be on a certain list. Companies often have more than one mailing list because some people want more marketing emails than others. Such a cute video with your adorable daughter! Question: what are the details on the dip nib? I have a holder, but not a decent nib. The Speedball ones I have are really scratchy. As you were sampling, it looked like the nib was a smooth writer. Thanks for any info you can share! 🖋👍🙋‍♀️

I think mine are actually just Speedball. They're nothing fancy. My in-laws, who run a second hand store, came across them and gave them to me. This nib is quite smooth, but it's a bit on the broad side. I wonder if size could be a factor in the scratchiness you're experiencing?
