You can also take bus 200E and change for other bus, tram lines or metro 3 on it's way. :) Yes, you have to change once more, but a single ticket for bus 100E costs 900 HUF and a 24 hour ticket (which is obviously not valid on bus 100E) costs 1650 HUF.... ;-)

To make it clear... there are 2 bus routes serving the Airport, 100E and 200E 100E for 900Huf one way, straight to the city Centre starts every 10mins in the rush hours. The other route 200E takes you to Nagyvarad tér where you need to change to metro line M3 to the city centre. But this might takes you an hour. Could be fine for you if you like cheaper options. You can get the 24hours ticket or 48, 72 or weekly whatever...and you have unlimited rides for all transport in the city! Buses, trams, metros.

You are welcome. The stop in front of the Astoria Hotel in Budapest is called **Astoria M**. This is a major intersection and a key transportation hub in the city, served by both bus and metro lines. The name comes from the Grand Hotel Astoria located at this intersection.

Hey there. Are there bus at any time? We will arrive by 2am. What would you advise?
@TheWonderingEnglishman4 жыл бұрын
I would advise using the taxi company (via the app) - bolt - use the code HFDHF- with that code it will likely be a free ride entirely and cheaper than the bus.

I'm not certain I hope someone can answer. A single usually means a single however a specific destination ticket will usually allow you transfers going on experience. However, hopefully someone can confirm before you go there.

Can you take the 100E TO the airport? Is it the same price to go to the airport?
@TheWonderingEnglishman2 ай бұрын
Yes, you can take the 100E bus from Budapest city centre to the Liszt Ferenc International Airport. The 100E is a direct shuttle service between the airport and key locations in Budapest's city centre, such as Deák Ferenc tér. As of the latest information, the ticket for the 100E airport shuttle bus is separate from regular public transport tickets and costs 2,200 HUF (approximately €5-6). This price is the same whether you are going to or from the airport. You can purchase tickets: At BKK customer service points Via the BKK mobile app At ticket machines near the bus stops It’s always a good idea to check the latest prices and availability before travelling.

There’s a Metro station right next to the Hotel Astoria. The 100e bus takes you to centre and 200e takes you to closest metro station from airport. Like I say - Google maps is your friend - use it when you arrive it will tell you the best route to take.

Not clear at all. What bus number were you talking about? I am sure there are many buses connected to the airport.
@TheWonderingEnglishman2 ай бұрын
From Budapest Airport to the city center, there are several public transportation options, including buses that connect to the city’s metro system. Here are the main bus services: 1. Bus 100E: • Direct Airport Shuttle: This is an express service that takes you directly from Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport to the city center, stopping at Deák Ferenc tér. • Frequency: Every 10-20 minutes. • Travel Time: Approximately 35-45 minutes. • Ticket Price: 2,200 HUF (separate from regular public transport tickets). 2. Bus 200E: • Connection to Metro Line 3: Bus 200E runs from the airport to Kőbánya-Kispest metro station, where you can transfer to the M3 metro line, which takes you into the city center. • Frequency: Every 7-10 minutes. • Travel Time: Around 25-30 minutes to Kőbánya-Kispest, then an additional 20-30 minutes on the metro to reach the center. • Ticket Price: A single public transport ticket (350 HUF) is valid for both the bus and the metro. These buses offer reliable and affordable options to reach Budapest’s center from the airport .

You failed to mention the bus number.I know there are 2 buses from the airport- the 100E and the 200E(which only take you halfway then you take the Metro.) If you are trying to inform people on travel then you need to state the bus numbers.

@TheWonderingEnglishman3 ай бұрын
The main bus route from Budapest Airport (Liszt Ferenc International Airport) to the city center is **Bus 100E**. This bus runs directly from the airport to central Budapest, including stops at key locations such as **Kálvin tér** and **Deák Ferenc tér**. The service operates frequently, making it a convenient option for travelers heading into the city. Note that a special ticket is required for this route, which costs around **1,500 HUF** (approximately 4 euros), and regular Budapest public transport tickets are not valid on this bus. If you're looking for a more economical option with transfers, **Bus 200E** connects the airport to **Kőbánya-Kispest** metro station, where you can transfer to the M3 metro line to reach the city center.
