The bus type you rode is a polish one, the famous and mighty Solaris Urbino 12 IV. It has several nicknames, from "happy face", due to the shape of front used until end of 3rd batch production (it was long-running batch, produced between 2005 and 2017) via juice box (also due to shape, especially in case of 4th and current batch of it, because it has more geometric shapes than previous ones) to dachshund (due to the mascot sticked at the front of bus, the green dog, which was designed by one of founders of Solaris, Solange Olszewska, in 1994, which changed design twice: in 2005 and 2012).

The train however, is the Stadler's Fast, Light and Innovative Regional Train (FLIRT) EMU, which is very common across the Europe. This train's double-decker version is called DoSto or KISS. In Poland, these are officially referred to as (depending on operator) ER75, ED160, and ER160 classes (you rode in the latter one, as ER75 is older batch and ED160 is a intercity, long-distance version of it).

The railway grid operator (PKP PLK) works on extension of the railway to the airport itself. Completion of the project is expected in approx. five years. When completed it will be possible to board/deboard the train directly at the airport.

For Poland's nearly 20 years membership in the EU, it has been impossible to extend the railway from Modlin station to the airport, which is mere 5 kilometers! HOW RIDICULOUS!

0:50 - direct buses are just more expensive (30-50 PLN while bus-train ticket is about 20 PLN as far as I remember).

Thank you for this video, really informative! I just want to clarify one moment as I will make same path soon. If I miss bus (or it full), next one will be in 17 min, and next train in 1 hour. So in total the trip can take 17 min (of waiting next bus), 10 min on bus, near one hour of waiting train and near 40 min on train, which in total near 2 hours, correct?

Yes, you timed it right. The train always runs 11 minutes after the hour. You have to wait at the bus stop to get on the bus and everything will be fine.

Забавно конечно наблюдать за поездкой. Странные люди - не едут в автобусе, когда он полупустой, при интервале поездов в час? Или люди едут другим поездом, о котором здесь почему-то умалчивается? Ну и как я понял, часть людей бесплатно ехала на автобусе, поскольку на станции электрички пошла покупать билет на поезд в автомате. При этом мест в электричке было достаточно.

Напрямую автобусом значительно дороже. Поезда отправляются из Модлина каждый час. Другого поезда нет. Да, вы правы, большинство покупают билеты только с вокзала Модлин.

The only train operator on this route is Koleje Mazowieckie. They do not have assigned seats. It may be different with other train operators.
