I just found your channel and must say you provide wisdom and insights that I could wish I'd been exposed to decades ago. All this from before the whole world turned upside down; I hope you managed to make a productive time of it, as much as you could, and finding a path to pick things up. Producing videos like these must surely take a lot of thought, time and energy. If you find it worthwhile, I'm sure there are people who'd be interested in your insights about moving forward, what has changed, what's stayed the same, how to regain momentum and build opportunities in 2023. Thanks for these videos and wishing you all the best, Mr G!

Never actually had a teacher been playing In a garage since I was 15. I have my first gig since I was 24 I am 33 now. Nervous but excited. Way I got the gig was through a friend that their drummer got a job outside of the state.

I looked up “How to find work as a drummer” and your video came up, Awesome video! I started getting serious the past year about being a Musician full time I play Drums, bass and guitar but I love drums the most and I have gotten one gig playing the drums at guitar center killing time and the gig went great and the money was awesome! I got that feeling, that Rush playing in front of 200+ people for the first time and I want to do it for a living! I practice everyday 4-6 hours or more a day and I keep leveling up and my timing is getting solid! Do you think that I should promote myself as a Drummer or a musician that plays those three instruments on a pretty high level? Or stick with what I love most because I wanna say I can help in most areas but as a musician I don’t want other guys in the band to think I think I’m better then them because as I know that feeling when a great all around musician steps in the room. “Not saying I’m great” I’m good and I just want to make something great and have fun and make a living as a musician. What do you think?

Awesome :) You sound like a very considerate person, which is great for a drummer. I see so many drummers serving themselves and also playing way too loud.
