Adding to this advice, strafing, baiting and jumping will be your best friends. Baiting a player into hitting you out of range will make them panic at the miss and play worse, strafing around the player in circles or getting behind them makes it much harder to get hit, if you do it right, and timing your jumping to jump over someone’s swing or jumping over someone’s head to avoid them will again make it much harder to be hit. Just tweak these three things to your liking to become a more effective player.

Btw my best advice, is when you attack someone, you've got to consider the 3 outcomes. 1: You get parried, 2: They evade or get hit 3: They will hit you back. Try attacking them about 2 times, see how they react, and based off the reaction, try and make the 3rd hit a counter to they're playstyle. They most definitely will switch playstyles, so depending on if they know you can parry, they will most likely bait out that parry. If they know you attack them without hesitation and in a pattern sort of way, they will parry, and if they know your a person who likes to bait out parries and punish them, they won't parry and take your baits to advantage. So that is why you gotta switch up often if they catch on to what your comfortable with, and switch from offensive to defensive. Edit: No one likes ranged players.

When fighting ds or glaive users, try to maintain your stamina in order to escape or chase when necessary, This also helps when they have to wait their cooldown. Most of the time when they hit you they back up to avoid getting hit trying to wait for the cooldown, So whenever they do, use this opportunity charge at them, or run away. Hope this helps!

Adding on to the advice, my advice is to fake attack. What I mean is that you go forwards then backwards. Then, they will most likely parry. Then just hit them when then parried

Here's a tip for all weapons that many people don't know If you're a parry player : Parry someone and if you are a light user just spam him to death (your weapon must be fast and with decent damage like Steel Sword), but if you have a dragon slayer or a weapon that has high cool-down here's the tip : Parry someone, hit and press Q, pressing Q will kick the opponent onto the ground like a ragdoll, then just hit him again and kick him while he's on ragdoll mode to simply kill. (just don't let them bait you) That was the tip 🙃

The watch how your opponent plays part is the most important, cause if they are really aggressive and go for attacks whenever possible or they play more passively until you mess up then you have to adapt quite a bit

For example against aggressive d slayers I try to bait them to miss, then I follow them, wait for when I think their attack is back and then I parry. It takes a bit of practice and trial and error but it helps me counter most stupid d slayer users. Either that or after missing they will parry badly and I can punish that

If you play someone passive, who waits for you to mess up usually you can bait them by missing on purpose, then waiting for them to punish and parrying when you see them roll in or run close

You forgot about the block, you have to get close to the player, he puts the block in a second, you start hitting him. When he has a block, he seems to be stunned.

*Tip on dodging parry's* : When you sprint towards someone try avoiding a slash on them because they are expecting you two attack, but a few other people might already know about this so they will trick you possibly slashing when you come down, but this tactic normally works on glaives/DS mainly the people that are like professional.

If u have shift lock off your aiming with ur keyboard (if you dont hold rmb) than your mouse since your player faces the direction on what button you press while as having it on makes it much easier (but its preference as well, if you play well with it off then go ahead) just like fps games where you aim with mouse and move with keyboard. hopefully this makes a good explanation when using shiftlock

you should also slide to them and cancel the silde while your half way and they should parry and you dash and hit them or if they dont parry still dash but dont hit him till he parrys and i use it alot and i get a shit ton of kills

Heres my key advice: it may seem like its alk about your damage and weapons but trust me combat warriors skill is almost completely reliant and based on movements, if you dont believe me you can check yt for a crowbar user folding a ds user, now with this in mind here are the tips 1.maintain your stamina bar for needed quick movements 2. Parry bait, this is done by rushing at an opponent without hitting them until they parry and then you hit after the parry runs out and they are in cooldown 3. (Mostly for heavy users) Jump around a little when your weapon is on cooldown to avoid enemy attacks

Not using shift lock can also be good too. Because you can basically 360 to hit em The jumping when CD is kinda like depends if you're gonna get 3rd partied The uh Overcome and Adapt one is easy, find how they attack and parry so you can counter it.

Tips from #1 EU and Alpha from Apex hey, #1 EU here, here's my opinion on this video (and probably more experienced) : spin with specific weapons, not every weapon. ds has a 360 hitbox so he's wasting time jumping helps, cool. try to bait instead of waiting for people to parry, it's more efficient. dragon slayer is a bad weapon. try to develop an automated combo don't parry often, it's a bad habbit that you'll have to overcome try to attack gangs with grenades instead of rolling in like el capone strafing, baiting and jumping will be your best friends.
