Rebuilding the data base does not do anything to your important saved data. What it does is it basically deletes or arranges your junk files. Also, your performance may not be noticeably better but my ps4 started running quieter as well.

in case your wondering rebuilding your database basically defrags the system hdd sshd or ssd and nukes the old location/area of where the data is stored and then after its done defragging its moves your data to the new data location and stores the files in the location deleting excess cache and making your hdd work like new a SIDE NOTE if you want better fps clean yor system take off output aat 1080p and 24 hz and use less special effects in games iff possible for examle decrease fov and take off all motion blur... side side note dynamic themes doesnt affect performance because they arent rendered while the ram is being pulled by the game

Go to system settings and turn off hdcp if its on what hdcp does is pretty much makes the image take longer to show up on your tv cuz its trying to make the image more high quality

That's not what hdcp does. HDCP basically encodes the image signal so you cant pirate or copy through stuff like capture card so turning it off won't affect Quality but it can reduce input lag and increase refresh rate tho

Not how it works mate, set it back to 4k. The game is set to render at a specific resolution, this is separate to what your display shows. Only resolution options WITHIN GAMES will make any difference. Your probably experiencing some sort of placebo effect. Rebuilding the database on the other hand is a good option and won't delete anything.

Dummy putting it at 1080p on ps4 pro if its a 4k game makes no difference it's still displaying it at 4k but instead it's supersampling or 4k downsampling to 1080p making it look better then normal 1080p. Less jaggies much sharper image slightly better looking texture resolution. Native 4k is still better just for the record.
