I've been using the "fall out" method to get out. I've found it always energizes the crowd 😂

Hey, way to entertain them! 😊😂🤙

Haha , I did the "fall out" method on a kayak group tour and the guide said "You wanted to go swimming anyway " . I also fell back in 😅.

Aside from cat videos this is one of the better KZbin videos I have seen.

A little off topic... A paddle leash is a good, safe item to use. Also, for newer or less balanced people, attach a thin rope to the kayak. Attach a weighted foam fishing bobber to the other end. Have about 10 or 12 feet of thin rope. Before entering or exiting the kayak, make sure the bobber end is on shore. Before exciting, throw the line well up on shore. This is done in case one accidentally pushed the kayak away by losing balance. Grab the rope to prevent unwanted swimming. Especially if you have gators in your waters.

Thanks for putting this video together. Very helpful, especially when you’re getting in & out oh the bank.

Came across your video. Thanks for showing. Very cautious about getting in from the bank. I usually plop in , praying I don’t fall out.

can you advise us about getting in and out of an inflatable? good video, thank you for posting this.

@@peggystevens5144 🤔 hmm that’s a good question! Never tried that, but I want to do a video of getting in a kayak from knee-deep water and would probably be very similar. Thanks for the suggestion

What if paddle breaks 🙀
@MountainsRiverSea5 ай бұрын
It’s a possibility I guess but more likely if it’s a carbon fiber paddle… and less likely if placing it on nice flat terrain, plus not putting ALL your body thru it (just upper body) 🤞👍

Your first in/out method causes damage to the belly of your kayak and paddle - scraping on gravel or concrete boat ramps is not the way to do it. I prefer to straddle then sit, while my kayak is in the shallows.
@MountainsRiverSea2 ай бұрын
@@nancyfry8361 that method I demo is for sandy beaches but yes I understand what you’re saying… we often straddle too in about knee deep water to get back in especially rivers where there is no beach

WoW!!! Scene one, one of worst ways to get in your kayak lol you could hear the hull being scared up as she shoves off, what if instead of soft dirt its rocks or has SOME rock, it will scar the hull REALLY bad. There are MUCH better ways to get into your kayak than this. LoL I watched a little more OMG!!! 1 min into this video is this satire and they are showing everything not to do????? can you hear the scaring of the hull? Now at 2 mins. in she does that right, So the 2nd 1/2 of this video is right.

Just showing how to get in as a beginner from a beach situation in shallow water. The beach we were at had a few tiny pebbles. I assure you the hull is fine but thanks for your concern.

Well it would be if you couldn't swim. 😂 Literally millions of native people must have died in water accidents over millennia. 😂 Ah, no. Only while folks. 😂
