Not true about professional mode, I played the game on standard, with a B rank and finished in 13 hours, still got professional difficulty, it unlocks immediately after you complete the game with no effort

The cat ears were pretty tough. But I'm glad I did it. Also, it's easier to get S+ for the handcannon after you unlock cat ears, than doing it before. But yeah, mercenaries is still easier than that.

The thing that I don’t like is having to go through multiple play throughs to get the best weapons/ infinite ammo, because by then you’re already getting tired of the game and the grind. Why even play anymore after that.

You could just buy a 3 pack of exclusive upgrade tickets for your S+ run to use on the primal knife, Chicago sweeper, & handcannon in chapter 2, makes the S+ run a lot easier

I actually despise the way the devs handled infinite ammo in this game. I was hoping they were gonna handle it like Village, where once you've beaten the game and fully upgraded a weapon it unlocked the ability to purchase infinite ammo for it in the Extra Shop. I replayed Village multiple times because I wanted to fully upgrade my favorite weapons to unlock infinite ammo for them. I just beat RE4 Remake for the first time like 10 minutes ago, expecting the options for infinite ammo to be in the Extra Shop, only to be surprised that the options weren't there. I then just found out about all this BS...cat ears in order for me to have infinite ammo?...**** off devs, I have no desire to replay this game now. No point. I only upgraded my weapons for the infinite ammo unlock. Such a waste of time. EDIT: The only reason I was even excited about starting a new game plus was because I thought I'd be able to have infinite ammo for at least ONE of my favorite weapons...this is such a mood killer man.

Im on the same boat, there a lot of moments in the game that made me go "Was this necessary?, oh whatever second run with infinite handgun will make it more enjoyable" but nah the devs thought you first need to do the hardest playthrough possible so then you can enjoy doing crazy stuff

Cat ears are easy. Play until chapter 7 like you normally would in a new save on pro. Save at the end of the chapters and run through most of the areas and not fight. You can use the sweeper and still get an s+ so if you die quit to main menu and then load back if you hit continue it keeps play time. Or save before boss fights so that you don't reset full chapters and just don't save at chapter end.

At chapter 7 it's when you can get the upgrade ticket for 30 spinels and then use it for the sweeper and enjoy not letting of the trigger until you kill what's in front of you

Also there is a keychain you can get that it’s Rare(Blue) it’s Leon W/ Rocket Launcher that offers 20% off the rocket launcher which bring the cost to 1,600,000 Pesetas which saves you 400,000 Pesetas. Then there is another key chain that’s a good one if u can get it that’s an Epic (Purple) “Merchant” offers 5% off weapon upgrades which help a lot in the game. Another decent Rare(Blue) key chain is Luis Sera which offers +20 weapons resale value. If like me you sold some of your weapons to get the infinite rocket launcher and planned to replace them later again. Another Rare Leon W/Shotgun +40% ammo resale value helps too. Another Rare ADA Wong 30% off body armor repairs. You can swap it right before you visit the merchant that way you can use others for better benefits in the meantime and swap it before u repair your armor. Another Rare which is the fat commando with the Gatling gun and the ammo wrapped around his body looking like a maniac 😂he offers J.J. 40% off resources. Another decent you can swap when needed is the Legendary(Gold) Cute Bear -1 Gun powder used when crafting. Which you would think it would be more beneficial being a legendary but guess again. Just -1 gun powder when crafting. Well GOD Bless

I got the game 2 days ago for my PS4 as a gift (I already had it on PC since I preordered it) and I couldn't believe how easy it was for me to get the handcannon, after so much struggle on my PC run without mercenaries DLC, so I bought one upgrade ticket and I am unstoppable (I already got all the Steam achievements so I'm trying to get the platinum asap).

You said if you want more upgrade tickets you get two only and have to pay money for more and that's wrong. You get two every playthrough so if you are in the same save after a playthrough you can get two every time you beat the game and do new game plus. I have done this many times and they carry over to ng+ so you can save them up after you unlocked all guns.

This is great, but for the fact that those that cannot complete the game in these modes makes videos like this useless. I tried multiple time for these achievements, and found it too difficult to achieve these items. Make a video that shows people how to get said items without it being too difficult. Not all of us are gaming experts or skilled enough that can do these things.

This video is misleading. It's commonly known knowledge that you can get infinite ammo with those three weapons but you present it like there's a way to get it outside of playing on professional which is off putting for a lot of people who weren't very good at it

you don't get the cat ears for beating the game under 5 and half hours, on new game plus, you need to be on a new game, because you need the S+ rank. (learned it the hard way.)

Or you can buy your way with certain weapons like the rocket launcher that has infinite ammo.😊 But in order for that to happen you have to have the leon keychain that actually give you a discount on the infinite ammo rocket launcher.😊

In mercenaries one round takes 15 minutes. And if you don't know the map it'll take you a solid few hours. Tbh it's quiet a challenge.

Correction; you have to get S+ on professional. New game on pro, no bonus weapons, less than 5 and a half hours and saving less than 15 times manually (meaning you can't save between chapters or at typewriters more than 15 times in total).

Hey if you can back track any bit do this. Since weapons come with default ammo and selling weapons return half the buy price, and 95% of upgrades, then figure out how to maximize your money into buying and selling strong weapons for ammo and LEAVE THE RESOURCE TO FLASH OR GRENADES

Should have made the visibility of the cat ears optional. I stopped playing once I realized thats how you get infinite ammo. Re4 was my favorite game growing up and naturally they had to go and assume everyone is a gay streamer who wants cat ears. I'm done with modern games. Game is great otherwise but there's no post gameplay for me now. Would have loved to continue playing and grind for unlockables. But again. I'm not a gay cat boy streamer. Most of us aren't. The Machine you get the charms from isn't random, the charms you get is pre-set per save file, the charm machine's loot pool is determined by the Tokens you use. (3 Sliver), (2 Sliver and 1 Gold), (1 Sliver and 2 Gold), (3 Gold)

@@josephbrown2026 No, the only weapons that have infinite ammo when you use the tickets is the Handcannon and the Chicago Sweeper, and you need and A and S rank on Professional mode to get them. and the only way to get infinite ammo for the rest of your weapons is to get the Cat Ears accessory with a S+ on Professional mode
