what about convincing parents? i plan on going when i'm 17 or the year i turn 18, but my parents don't even want me going into the next state over by myself for college 😭😭😭 korea is soooo much safer i just dont know how to convince them

@@KidsNchou-hc4tg i convinced them! i just showed my dad i will be responsible and pay for it myself, and my dad says yes to anything if it means he can spend time with me (i grew apart a bit when i got older) so he said yes because i said he should fly over there with me at the start lil

●I have a question like... if there isn't businesss administration or business related majors in UIC right now then will it be like available over the next years? Or else even if it doesn't then which major to I certainly choose first? I'm confused 😅 ●Also I have another question that at what age should I apply for like uni and I want to confirm that whether it's after 11th or 12th grade which is certainly senior high school (college in india) (I'm currently 14 but I'm really interested to know all of these beforehand😅😅) ●And what kind of different variety of documents,files,etc we need including our gpa,grades and IELTS level (planning for UIC) ●And do I need to learn korean before getting into uni or can I learn it after coming to Korea?? ~THANK U, THESE WERE MY QUESTIONS~

Hello! Im about to start 11th grade and it was my goal to got into this uni and i have A Ielts band 8 but no SAT and im about to start learning korean to get TOPIC 3/4 And wanted to ask what actually do you need besides those and will i get opportunity to live dormitory? Along with getting scholarship? Will i even get it ?

You have great chance of getting but it depends on your major! You are required to live in the dorms in your freshman year so you are guaranteed to live in dorms! Keep in mind that your first year is not in Seoul but instead in the Incheon campus! Scholarships are also very difficult to get! I didn’t get one myself but depending on your grades or financial situation they may give it to you :)

So I am 18 I got my baccalaureate This year on July and I want to apply as an undergraduate to architecture engineering on 2026 like for now I want to apply for the Korean language spring program but I am scared for my baccalaureate like is it really 5 years valuable or no?like can I apply with it in 2026 for the architecture course or no 🥲😭😭

It’s very hard to get in but considering your state you may have a chance! I can’t guarantee since I’m not in medicine but please look in Korean for details…also know that you need a topik 5 to apply for medicine at Yonsei!

Nope I didn’t not provide SAT scores! I also did not apply to any other Korean universities but many of my friends did (Korea university, Seoul National, Kookmin, Ewha, etc)

Hii! TYSM FOR THIS!! So i have a question, my main concern rn is that like to enter for the fall semester they give out the results in june and by then I should commit to another uni just in case i don't get accepted into uic yk? So what did you do like in that sense? Did you accept another uni and then cancelled it or did you just hope for the best and hope that you got into uic?

Yes I also had this struggle! 😭😭 I committed to a college first and backed out after. Thankfully I didn’t lose much money (only 200 usd) so it wasn’t a big deal. 😅 Check the university that is your “backup” and its details with canceling as it’s different for each college! Many of my friends also went YOLO and was like “it’s all or nothing” 😅😅

Please reply "I have studied a 3-year DAE in ICT and my percentage is 71%, with Grade A and I am not in the top 20% of my class. The major I want to apply for is fashion design, for which I have considerable knowledge and fashion diploma certificates. If I being honest your grades are a bit low for Yonsei standards so it will be a bit difficult. Your topik score is also quite low. However, you may have a chance if you have many awards. I can’t guarantee your acceptance though.

@@JibranJonnymaybe try for SDU Seoul Digital University, Sejong, Hanyang, Sungkyunkwan University! These are all good options although some may be harder than others. Kookmin is also good!

@@Tilly_delisa Unfortunately not! They only offer that at regular Yonsei (Korean track). If you transfer you can do most of the regular Yonsei computer science in English but there are 3-5 classes you must take in Korean as they don’t have an English counter part.

I didn’t put the IELTS because I was born in an English speaking county but it is required for those who don’t speak English as their first language! SAT score was optional and I decided not to put it in because I didn’t see any benefit! If your score is good I recommend you putting it as it can help you get a scholarship :)

Hello I got a question, so after applying online, you will send documents by post, why would we send them by post (is it Visa application) and how can we send our letters of recommendation (I hope you answer this!!)

They need it because they need the officiated copy of your documents and Korea is still a very physical documentation country! Letters of recommendation are not required on the physical part! Sorry for the late reply!

They asked about your hobbies, what makes you want to study in Korea, your aspirations, why you picked your major, and more! Can’t be sure if these will be the questions you get but they will likely ask at least one of the above :) Good luck 😊

That may be okay! However higher would be better as understanding and writing is extremely important to study at Yonsei! You should be fine though :)

I applied for the financial-aid scholarship offered at my school! There is also the merit-based and admission scholarship (given when you are admitted to qualified students) but I didn’t get these ones! There are also some other ones you can apply outside of the ones offered out of the school but I haven’t applied for any of those yet! :)

If you study in Korean yes…if not the closet thing that in UIC would be either biotechnology, nanoscience, energy and environmental engineering.

I’m a undergraduate student of this year so I want to apply for the fall semester 🧎🏽‍♀️ Do they give scholarship to foreigners (We don’t work with gpa here I had 14,54/20 to the final exam and my financial situation 🥲…and in my country they don’t provide data science courses)

@@KidsNchou-hc4tg For UIC no topik but outside of UIC you need topik or they will make you take topik classes. Scholarships are hard to get but not impossible. Unfortunately I wouldn’t rely on them.

The admissions scholarship is given when you first apply! The rest are given after your first semester! You can apply for financial-aid scholarship during the announced time frame (they give you later) and merit-based is given automatically if you have good grades!!!

@@hinakhan3218 when will you get the results? You can apply before your test but you have to ask your school to write something that’s says you are expected to graduate! If they can’t you have to apply after your test!

@@Chiarra_nguyen the highschool exams will end probably in March and the result will most probably be released during May and the NEET exam the entrance exam of medical will be held on first week of May and the result will come out at the end of June or the start of July.. and now am confused about it

@@hinakhan3218I don’t know what the these exams are but I don’t think it is required for Korean Universities! I am assuming you are studying medicine! If you want to study that you will need to probably know Korean! Please email the Medical department admission for information on what you need as required documents differ from departments!
