Hey another thing I would like to say is since you are just a 15 year old I would recommend u to do mbbs in India then MD in USA cuz it costs crazy in USA .In India u can finish the whole thing in 2 crores while if u apply directly after twelfth in USA u have to bsc which will cost you min 3 crores then MD again which will cost you min 3 crores and then residency programmes which will again cost you 3 crores .So you should be ready to spend min 9 crores .Fees may be higher too .Plus scholarships are not really that good for international students .I am not saying to demotivate you .Just giving you idea .ATB

Thanks Saloni, Well done for ur immense achievements as a BIOMEDICAL ENGINEER in USA at HARVARD. Congratulations. Our country have proud on u & ur sincere efforts to encourage others in a very lucid way. Kindly suggest future studies in US or some other part of the world with Scholarship, after successful completion of B.Sc.(Hons.) in Biomedical Sciences in India. As this very new branch has a very limited scope in India. My grandson has recently completed the same in 2020 with good grades and presently pursuing Masters in the same but we don't see very good future in India due to a limited use of this field. I personally appreciate ur useful suggestions.

I'm terrible at pre-reqs/basic sciences but I'm excellent at everything related to psychiaty (psychopharmacology, clinical psychology, ethics etc). I really want to get my MD in psychiaty for genuine reasons, I want to help others, understand &prevent suffering etc. I've actually memorized the PDR, DSM, Merck Manual etc and it would break my heart when I'd see doctors throwing out their monthly psych journals so I read them.. Is there any way to avoid the sciences (at least some?). I also have disability like panic disorder, ADHD, learning disorders (i.e. incalculcia - "math disorder"), bipolar and others.. would that help in any way?

Hey Saloni. I'm currently a senior in high schhol who wants to apply to harvard with future prospective of becoming a doctor. I am aware of the four year undergraduate then after, medical school. Im confused what it means to be a pre-med. Can i be a premed once i enroll in undergraduate courses that are directed towards medical school. Or do i have to get into medical school to become a premed.No one has really told me the specific age i can join...or the usual ages and reasons behind the average age people become premeds.
