Saw a John Lyons video over 25 years ago that had this setup. I have used it many times over the years for a variety of horses.

PayntPot I used to audit John Lyons clinics when back when I was 12-18 years old. My parents bought me his VHS video collection for Christmas back then, I watched those tapes a lot. Thanks for commenting!

I really like your work and explanations . Can you please explain as your riding which aides you are using to direct your horse please.

Great question, I do understand what you are asking. This video was more about an exercise of options and movements more than it was meant to be how to execute these movements (that would be a much longer video😀). We have other videos on this channel and are always downloading more content on aiding your horse. Sorry if I didn’t completely answer your question here. Hopefully you will check out our other videos. Thanks for the comment!😀

Great idea since I do not have an arena. I can set this up in the pasture and have some fun with all this. Thank you.

After some time experimenting and coming up with options you will visualize the exercise and won't need cones anymore. Enjoy!

like that Jack is wearing a helmet! Great ideas- having our horse feel back and ask, what's next?

There’s got to be something in it for the horse too! Your not just riding the mind and body, your also riding the life of the horse! Thanks for the comment!

Thank you! I love the way you teach and how you think about working with horses. Really helpful options! Also, I think that horse you are riding is exceptional. Did you train him? He is so relaxed and soft and I LOVE his canter! If you did not train him do you know how he was trained in the past?

Thank you for that comment! He’s really Paula’s horse, (she lets me ride him sometimes 😀). There is a video on our channel where he follows Paula around our property with no halter or lead. Can you guess his breed?

Thank you very much! The hardest part about quality horsemanship is taking the time that it takes. See you in the next video!
