Good guide. I have found that scything down berry bushes seems to be a decent way to get bees on Siptah. They're not common, though. You can't spin up hundreds of them, like you can with insects or compost-grown grubs. That said, I don't know that they're that necessary, at least for getting oil. The insects can jumpstart you early game, and grubs, if you just tend the traps/heaps a few times per play session, should keep you in oil. One thing I've noticed is that the decay timer limits your grubs, but really only when you're near your base. If you go out of render range and do some adventuring, you'll likely have 50 grubs built up in your compost heaps when you come back.

Or, if you able to collect a queen and some worker bees could be added, so they can make honey not become honey. Also queen would have a life timer and should have a chance to produce another also would produce more workers overtime. Maybe be boosted with flowers in inverntory of faster crafting when placed near flowers. Thats how it should work!

Since "Star Wars Galaxies," I always turn off shadows, and vegetation. I can't believe the number of streamers that can't any find plant fiber. I've watched at three hour stream, before they found their first plant fiber. They had chat behind full screen.

Conan isn't one of them, but there are loads of games that I turn vegetation/debris down to the lowest level on games that have the option. That stuff is usually just extra decoration and apart from aesthetics, it only serves to distract and obscure.

When you move out of range, and come back, the compost-heap can build up to 50 grubs. I normally shove manure, plantfibers and bonemeal into the compost-heap, with putrid meat to build up both grubs and compost.

Hi Kiah, good to see you back in the exiled lands. Agree with@Patrick Tracy, scything gives a decent return on bees. Queen bees are as rare as rocking horse sh*t though, best results from Aloe and Yellow Lotus. The obest way to generate bees however is simple. Emberlight. :-D Keep up the good fight and hope to see a new EL run soon to highlight the changes on a map we paupers are familiar with

If you put bone meal, plant fiber and compost in the composter you will get Fat Grub even faster

You should be able to hit the grubs with a pick or pickaxe. I used to be able to for sure. They may have removed it, but it definitely used to work. Its worth a try either way

WAK had a bit up about dryers, throw in x amount of plant fiber will give seeds and press for oil. So I've returned to the sickle and pet and go harvesting. Nice amount of bugs, bees....

Funny enough, but I've tried a skinning knife on bushes to get bugs from them, and you get a fair amount... not sure how it is compared to other things but it works.

I just got the isle of septah dlc. Is there any safe towns like the thrall city on exiles?

There is one in the north. You are gonna see a detached island kind of place in the mid north. That’s the only Npc camp in the map and of course they are friendly and you can’t enslave them. You can do trading like camel for 10 gold coins, 10 flask ( in my opinion that’s the easiest way to get flask ) for 1 silver coins, island lynx club for 200 gold coins, elephant hides etc. It’s called camp of cast aways.

Bro queen bees do not exist in this game. They are the equivalent to seeing the fucking shrouded ghost in sea of thieves. I have been all over this damn desert with a star metal sickle with careful harvest on and they simply DO NOT SPAWN. It's like they don't even exist at all, I'll find a fucking unicorn in this game before a bee
