I have got the Nikkor AI-S lenses (paired with my FM2n) 28mm F2.8, 50mm F1.8 and 105mm F2.5 but my problem is - today I wanted to take a night photo of a 2m tall statue with a huge christmas tree behind it in order so I would have the christmas tree lights as round bokeh circles. I could not manage to get it all in the frame unless I make a few steps further from the statue - but then the depth of field would not allow me to make such a bokeh. Im kinda stuck how to manage it. I also have an AI-S 80-200 f4.5 but then again - I assume this 4.5 would not be a good bokeh at all.

A 200/1.8’s bokeh is like a 300/2.8(a 311mm f2.8 to be exact would be the same amount of blur), and a 400/2.8 is even more

Your video is very informant on depth of field but you did not explain what bokeh really is, bokeh is the quality of the out-of-focus area and not the level of blur

Precisely. Bokeh cannot be maximized or controlled, there is no more or less bokeh. Bokeh is simply referring to the quality of blur. Not the amount of blur.
