I know😭😭 like I understand why it would happen in the au but talk about kicking a girl while she’s down🥲 What I would find interesting is if Izek were to find a figurehead wife, someone to do the duchesses duties but not expect love (maybe even someone infertile I feel like he’d do this on purpose to avoid having to sleep with her) since at this point Izek displays that he would never take another wife after ruby and if he did he wouldn’t make Freya suffer that fate since while he no longer cares for her he wouldn’t want to hurt his sister like that in mistreating her best friend. Like someone who was for sure infertile saying something along the lines of I already have heirs I have no need for more since in these aus Ruby dies after having children/childbirth.
