Matter of fact new Austin‘s it’s own state altogether. if he goes into that territory technically he shouldn’t be a wanted man and be able do whatever he wants. And there would be checkpoints in tall trees/great plains that would have weak Points somewhere so that Arthur would be able to sneak around realistically or just fight through. And there’s The unrealistic recognition system no matter how Arthur looks what he’s wearing or the horse he is riding, somehow they know from only a quick glance that is Arthur and start shooting immediately.

glitch still works as of 2022-Sep-10. having trouble finding armadillos, peccary pigs, gila monsters, condors, and horned owls tho. so far I've only found Baja Pronghorn does, desert iguanas, and Sonoran Pronghorn does. Update: I found all those animals. It just takes a while. Happy hunting.

As far as I know there's only one kind of gila Monster in the game. The other lizard I think you're referring to is the desert iguana and yes you can find both of them there.

Their is another good thing to do off the map .....the animals stand there and allow you to hunt and skin them....btw just a warning if you decide to follow the side of the map all the way down to Guarma (Follow the transparent part of the map down and along the bottom of the map but do not go over on the side that's ghostish) do not attack any guards in Guarma or get into combat if you do the sniper wakes up o.o and you aint leaving!

First of all, as soon as you arrive to Guarma with Arthur by glitching the game (I usually make him pass out from drinking inside the "I am the Devil" man's cave, near the edge of an abyss) make A MANUAL SAVE POINT. This will deactivate the invisible sniper in case something goes wrong. When you're done hunting the 11 animals that spawn in Guarma only (actually, 2 of them spawn on the regular map, on the island in front of Clemens Point), go to the first "A" in "AGUAS DULCES" and mount a donkey. Your goal is to head North, following the right border of Guarma's map whenever possible. You will arrive at the southern bank of Lannahachee River or Flat Iron Lake. Look for a boat that might be next to the bank and paddle to the other side. On two different playthroughs I ended up at Catfish Jacksons and at the docks of Saint Denis.

There was a lot of cut content in the game. Originally you could explore the Rockies, Great Plains and even further west to California. These regions are probably the rough design for some of these areas they couldn’t finish.

You can do it by having the horse bonded and going back to the cave area you spawned from after getting drunk. Once there just set up a camp you will be teleported out to the fields around the cave and you can just transfer over your stuff or just go and sell it to trapper. It also helps there’s a hidden trapper around where the cougar spawns above the owanjilo lake

For the Gila Monster I recommend dying at least once before you go out of map to refresh the game a bit. This way they spawn at some new locations and the Gila should be somewhere around Ratskeller Fork.

It isn't worth going out of the map to get any pelts besides the Peccary. You're much better off using the Buggy Method if you're getting the Gila Monster etc. Going out the map is also good to find certain horse breeds if you want to fill your Compendium with Arthur.

Everytime I tried to approach the map border coming from outside (even when trying to get to Mexico and Guarma), I would start to get shot by the invisible sniper. The only difference is he firstly gives your horse a warning shot so that you can run away from the border. If you don't... The only NA 3-star pelt I was able to collect out of the map was a Banded Gilla Monster's. Some folk also had luck with flying California Condors. The best way I found to get NA animal pelts with Arthur was the "Angelo Bronte glitch". Just in case, I sold them all to the trapper at Tall Trees and bought the outfits made with them on my way back to Bronte's mansion, because some people were saying they couldn't save the pelts using that glitch. If you're also going to do that, make sure you already have the other non-New Austin pelts required to craft the outfits and enough money to buy them. Good luck.

@@Herandro_just_Herandro unfortunately so, the game is great but they really could’ve added stuff to it, like perhaps that event with the fire up north, which would probably give us somewhere above ambarino in the northern grizzlies, along with north Elizabeth somewhere probably bordering the northern grizzlies, or even in northern grizzlies, then we have things like deer creek, anadora, and Crenshaw hills, the potential for DLC, hell even a third game, is very high, it doesn’t even need to be about redemption anymore, which is what I heard so many people say why rockstar shouldn’t make another, I mean, it wouldn’t be far fetched or inconsistent to remove redemption from it, red dead revolver was literally the opposite of the moral of the story in red dead 2 and 1, that revenge is a fools errand, revolver was ALL about revenge, killing the governor who was responsible for the death of Red’s Father.

I might even been referring to pronghorn or gila monsters, can't remember. There's lots of diverse animals by the river and I used the wagon for discovering animals. Careful with gila monsters, they rarely if ever spawn outside the map where the video shows. It's like 1 in 100 and it might not be three star. In a buggy they're very fast and hard to shoot carefully. Sonora toads are small and hard to see. Other than those two you should have no problem finding the other animals.

You'll need to cross over to Blackwater Cape (that little area east of Thieves Landing) either by going from Mexico or crossing from Braithwate Manor to Mexico shoreline with underwater slide glitch and going west (you'll have to be very careful on the 89° wall and try to not slip into water as that is almost instadeath)

If you go by wagon, make sure you bring plenty of health tonics and avoid the roads, especially near the towns, when you can. Since the law travels by horse and if they see you, they’ll call for reinforcements. Trying to evade them, the sniper and obstacles at the same time is a pain.

It's not patched. Just did it today. You probably just got too close to the border. There is a portion by the border that you will still get shot at even if you're outside the map. I'd stay away from the contour lines that are outside of the map by the border. You can go to maybe the northern part of the contour lines but if you start getting shot at you gotta dash back north. But I can say for certain that as long as you keep your distance from the actual map border that you will still be able to do this.

horses gained off map won't come to you with a whistle. no matter how close. best thing you can do is get drunk, end up off map again and go get it. but you're skins will be gone. oh and if you try to ride a new horse to it you'll likely bond with it and then the one you wanted will be gone

the stables are closed in blackwater until the epilogue even if you turn on never wanted with a trainer. strangely enough though, the shops and such in new austin are available as arthur as early as chapter 1 if you are not on a mission. so even if you use the buggy method to get to new austin, you won't be able to enter the shops as the sniper will kill you instantly. but you can disable the sniper using a trainer or, if you're on console, downgrading your game to 1.00

Just tried it again and it works, realized that I have to get spotted inside the cemetery for glitch to work. What I did on my first try was I got out of cemetery first then killed some strangers to get wanted status that's why the invisible sniper still applies in new Austin, but if done correctly like in the video guides the sniper will not shoot when you go to new Austin

I remember when you can replay the Bronte mission, but you have to activate it in the upper Montana river. That glitch was the best because you got to New Austin and not get killed by the invisible sniper. Sadly that got patched😢

No you can only get new Austin Animals if you approach a designed map you will get sniped good luck

You can also store pelts on horse. Once inside the map, camp and horse spawns near you.

No. You can do it with the buggy/wagon method though, it is quite challenging.

@@tanner6184 Because the 4 herbs you need don't grow outside the boundaries of the map. They grow in specific locations in New Austin, and once you enter New Austin the invisible sniper starts firing at you about once every second. The only method I know of to avoid getting shot to collect the herbs is the buggy/wagon method.

@@amanofculture6172 I have done it multiple times including getting all the bones and legendary animals and it's actually quite easy once you learn the camera angle properly. the best vehicle is the buggy as it gives you the best camera angle, it's fast, lets you use weapons which you can then use to clear out del lobos or hunt the legendary animals, and has the best protection when trying to pick a herb as the camera angle is pretty easy to get right, unlike the wagon where you have to literally get the perfect angle so the camera does not clip through the canvas when picking the herb.

@@qx_bn_1517 I think he was outside the map near the border of New Austin, just between Rathskeller Fork and Twin Rocks. Problem is when you get a little closer to the border of the map, the invisible snipers can start to shoot Arthur AND his horse (even being outside the map border). BTW, I'm talking by experience.
