Hi friends! Please let me know any mindful tips/habits you use in your own life~

I have started taking my mornings to myself. And I LOVE IT. I wake up around 7am and don’t touch the phone until probably 10am. And I do the same before sleeping, I don’t look at my phone 1 hr before sleeping. I have observed this practice for a year now, and it has significantly helped me ground myself and separate my thoughts with the world’s. I also love a cup of hot water in the morning, I sit in the sun, listen to affirmations and drink my hot water. After that I would maybe journal or read a book. I love this routine of my morning so much, sometimes I wish I could just live in these 3 hours only haha. I am prone to anxiety, and whenever I feel anxious, I go and find some grass to walk on. Any natural earthy surface really. This really helps me ground myself in the moment and I feel like I have gained the strength to face another challenge. Hope this helps Hunter! Lots of love to your channel!

@@kritijogi4112 What a beautiful morning routine ☺I definitely want to incorporate mindful practices in my morning routine! I have a terrible habit of grabbing my phone right when I wake up! I also have a lot of anxiety so grounding practices like going for a walk or journaling is such a great way to start the day. Thank you for sharing! I appreciate the thoughtful advice!

I feel like one of the hardest thing as a self employed person IS that time commitment. I have had people question jokingly like ‘your job must be so easy’ and it’s a big trigger for me. Thank you for sharing your journey, it’s good to know that I am not alone
@hunteriskindacool9 ай бұрын
Being self employed is by far one of the most difficult things I've ever done. No one warns you about the mental challenges that come with it, which has definitely been the part I struggle with most. It's hard to explain the difficulties to those who have never done it so I'm sending you encouragement! Starting your own business is so so challenging, so the fact that you've done it is a testament to your work ethic :)

i feel you so much. im always trying, but i always fail. i'll keep trying.
@hunteriskindacool9 ай бұрын
I feel this as well--its easy to get stuck in a negative feedback loop BUT what has helped me escape that is that not being productive for one day is not "failing". It simply means that my body and mind need rest. It's not sustainable to push ourselves into productivity all the time so I encourage you to be gentle with yourself and allow yourself rest :)

@@hunteriskindacool yes, thank you for that! i'll take a step back and then try to find my way around rebuilding trust with myself. that part of your video inspired me. :)
@kennedypoligratis37659 ай бұрын
I actually got emotional during the “building trust with yourself” section bc why do I not show up for myself day after day? My fave video of yours yet. Side note - this isn’t a habit but thought it may be helpful to remember that you don’t need to reply to texts or emails right away. I used to think I needed to reply as soon as possible, even if it was inconvenient for me. Now, I let myself read the message and if it’s not important or time sensitive, I’ll reply on my time when I’m mentally prepared to have a conversation :) it’s a game changer for me

WAAAHH Thank you for watching, Kennedy 🥲It means a lot! Also, YES--I definitely need to be better about my phone serving me instead of me serving my phone. I love that boundary that you've set for yourself and I'll definitely be more mindful about how/when I respond to messages! Thank you again for being here.

I stumbled upon your video and I have the same sentiments as you 😭. I made a commitment to myself to at least write in my gratitude journal everyday. Whenever I feel like I really can’t do anything that day, I tell myself that I can’t and that I can put it on another day’s schedule 💖

It's so validating to hear that other people feel this way too. We'll get better together! I'm still practicing showing up for myself but it feels sooo much better when I consistently put in time for myself. Sending you encouragement!

Hey, this found me at the right time. I am trying all kind of things atm, trying to get the balance of family, day job, content creation and being busy af! I love notion, though i am guilty of over engineering the planning. I am currently going old school, pen+paper and using a pocket notebook. Managing tasks and random thoughts. Comparing it against Notion where i end up too distracted on my phone. Hope you find that balance and well done on the youtube growth!

Wednesday as a day of cleanse? omg I tried this back in 2015 and the only thing that made it stick was laundry lol sorry everyone I'm busy today is laundry day haha an easy way I found to avoid looking through a lot of social media was also to use it as a day of commonplacing for example: if I wanted to watch KZbin videos I could still do it but it needed to be on one of my oldest liked videos and I needed to take notes getting the laundry done is the main task and just makes everything easier because it's a solid excuse, keeps things clean, everyone knows where I am, I'm busy! etc if you've made it this far through the comment you might be wondering why I'm leaving it on a Wednesday haha basically I've done pretty much the same Wednesday a few hundred times and I've figured out how to slow myself down on Wednesday regardless of the tasks I have to do or choose to do laundry will still get done but also all the little things like making sure to floss and eat vegetables and by doing a thing every single Wednesday it can get anchored and hold everything else in place but sometimes life gets in the way of course - and for that you can always make it a Tuesday or Thursday but doing it 95% of the time will make it normal and easy btw if you do this there's a high chance someone will roast you for have a holy laundry day haha - but you'll be on do not disturb and they'll be muted lol
@hunteriskindacool9 ай бұрын
Love this! It's definitely helped to have a designated day to log off. Maybe I'll also do my laundry on Wednesdays lol. Thanks for the thoughtful comment!
