Yes, as long as you reciprocate by editing someone else's work in advance to earn credits on the system - to pay the favor forward. However, because you get put in a queue to earn credits, you might consider buying credits if you need your work done faster.

I should also point out that once you earn credits and you are rated high enough on enough jobs by others, that you will eventually earn the ability to take credits out of the system.
