Despite the ending in Before the Storm, Life is Strange Ep 4 in the Dark Room chapter shows Rachel's photos in the junkyard. In ep 5, Jefferson explains that Nathan wanted to impress him, so it ended up with Prescott kidnapping Rachel and traking her to the junkyard, eager to prove himself, he overdosed Rachel with the drug.

It's not confirmed who really killed her (whether it was Jefferson and he blamed Nathan or it was Nathan who accidentally gave her too much) but it was Jefferson's idea to kidnap Rachael and photograph her. Plus, it looked like Nathan was pretty out of it during the whole photo shoot (the pictures of Racheal in the dark room from LIS) so I mean

Max1238 With Nathan I think you cam see the start of the downfall for him in chapter three. When Sam gets hurt in the hospital he seems pleased he got a photo of her before the injury. That could be the start of his addiction to creepy photography. Jefferson easily manipulates him as well

Even if jefferson had died, rachel would’ve died eventually from all the trouble she caused. Chloe even dragged max into shit and max almost got killed. She has a habit of doing this sadly.

When did Chloe drag Rachel into a dark place and get her into drugs? Rachel had more influence on Chloe's behavior than Chloe influencing Rachel's actions. It's difficult to speculate whether Rachel would've died from any other causes that involved Chloe because Chloe was never responsible for anyone's poor circumstance. Chloe pretty much did what she could for Rachel. And Rachel may have been troublesome enough to burn a forest, but it's not like she was emotionally unstable - at worse she could've been desperate for attention. Regardless of the ending, she seemingly lived happily until she ran into Jefferson. If anyone, Rachel being with Frank is what killed Rachel. In the first game, Chloe was pretty reckless, I'll give you that. However, Chloe's recklessness was triggered by Max's rewind power... but it also works both ways as Max's recklessness of her power was triggered by the universe's need for Chloe to die or for Arcadia Bay to eventually suffer fatal consequences.

Actually, it shouldn't make you happy. Best case scenerio is that their relationship will remain positive (what I doubt given his behavior in first game) but Nathan will be killed by Jefferson or end in prison, worst case scenario is that she will end in a dark room (her name wasn't shown on one of the files so unlikely). Most likely scenario is in my estimation that this relationship will be train wreck due to incompatible personalities. It's the best for that girl to stay away from Nathan and I advised her to do so.

Many are saying this just exists to please the audience, however this ending actually seems true to the Life Is Strange storyline. Stick with me on this. So I observed in the gameplay that Rachel wears her bracelet on her right wrist. Well, even though the bracelet is given to Sera, in the short clips that show the progression of Rachel and Chloe’s relationship, after Sera and Rachel meet Rachel is wearing the bracelet. For example, the clip where Chloe dyes her hair Rachel is wearing the bracelet, and another example is when Rachel and Chloe are looking at their new tattoos. I believe that for this ending to work after Rachel and Sera meet I would assume Sera gave back her daughter’s bracelet, allowing Rachel to have the bracelet to give to Frank. I know this is probably a long stretch, and the creators just used the same game clips throughout the endings, however what’re everyone’s opinion on this?

I think it'd be pretty obvious though. Sera wasn't going to be able to see Rachel after that again. She had worked so hard to get clean only to have the drug forced into her system again. She said so herself that she wasn't going to be able to beat her addiction again. She was giving up, so if it so happens that she decides to see Rachel one last time before she disappears, she would return her bracelet to Rachel for her to be remembered by. I just think people are overthinking this.

Even if Nathan did giver her an overdose, Jefferson pushed him to drug her which resulted in her death. Either way, Jefferson was an assailant in her death. Nathan killed both Chloe and Rachel, both non-intentional. The kidnapping, drugging and pictures were the intentions.

For me, sacrificing the kiss was easy. A memento, such as a bracelet, is much more powerful and meaningful than a kiss. Honestly, a kiss is just a kiss, in my opinion. I still cannot believe the stats was 50/50 when it came to telling Rachel the truth or not. Easiest choice ever, tell Rachel the truth, plain and simple. When people say, "If you love him/her, you'll lie to protect him/her." That is absolute bullshit, because you are essentially saying that you have to protect them and coddle them, because they are weak, or cannot handle the experience. There is not a single person that gets to decide whether someone should be kept from the truth, not a parent, not a child, no one! That is a bullshit cop-out!!!

Doubtful. Her body is dead even if her spirit is still alive representing the Doe from LIS. Max is the only one with powers. Max tried to bring back William and it resulted in Chloe being paralyzed, so what would be the consequence if max went back in time to save Rachel? What would that mean for Nathan? Or Frank? Or Chloe? Would they already be gone from Arcadia bay by the time max comes back? Plus bringing her back magically from the dead seems really cheap and not good in my mind. It would no doubt be a wonderful fan service but that’s about it. And an AU for the next game would change everything we know and love from the other 2 games

I think it could be, because in the first season his only friend is Victoria. And Samantha is nowhere to be seen in that game. Though then again it could just be that she had to change schools or something. Every choice that is made here can be a possible canon through the fact that in the first season the choices are not acknowledged or changed in a way that can be justified; for example the choice about Chloe and Rachel running away on the open road could be justified through arguing that they could have changed their minds later on and decided to go to Los Angeles instead so that Rachel can follow a modeling career, stuff like that.

So it's clear that nathan was obsessed with rachel. So there is more of a chance of it being nathan. But also in that picture, nathan looked knocked out too, and there was no way nathan could've taken that picture given the angle. Are you still with me? Good. At the end of all this speculation, it could be either one given the evidence, but to me it is way more clear that nathan is the killer.

I vividly remember the wait between episode 3 and 4, where everyone was making theories about Rachel’s fate, then the wait between episodes 4 and 5, where instead of Rachel theories, it was people guessing how Max would escape the room. I really hope that the next season of LIS follows another person with powers, different from Max’s, and would either hint at what happens to Max and/or Chloe, or have Max and/or Chloe appear and continue the story in season two with the season two characters.

One thing that is weird, if you tell Rachel the truth, where is she living afterwards? Did she immediately move into Chloe's? Holywood Underfed I told rachel the truth but didn’t ask for the bracelet, she didn’t meet her mom at the end and was aware of the truth. I think its the perfect ending

None of her parents are in LiS, if I recall they are only vaguely brought up by Chloe.A lot things could have happen, she could have died, it didn't end well or simply they stayed on good terms but she had no idea what happened to Rachel and Max didn't know her therfore she didn't have any role in the first game. As for the bracelet she could have given it back after the game, one way or another.

Sera could have easily given the bracelet back to Rachel and I think that's most likely what happened. It's not that hard to imagine. As for her whereabouts, none of Rachel's parents were shown in Life is Strange, so that alone doesn't make this ending non canon.

OH MAN!! As soon as you showed the beginning and I read your description "this is the path you need to take"- I immediately thought. OH MAN, ITS THE BRACELET ISN'T IT!?!?!
