I like how the revenge acts get more horrible and unhinged, it went from messing with someone's home, to planting false evidence in someone's car, to sabotaging a car, to literally reporting someone to the immigration office, then it went back down to something still horrible but not as insane as signing a person to mailing lists and getting them fired.

i know the whole women are worth 30 shekels thing is funny but what it actually means when you look into it is the whole thing was about making vows to god in times of doom. many people and even atheists will pray to god to save them in times of imminent doom or death and that is what the value is for. if you made a vow to god and did not do said vow you would be priced those values for not fulfilling your vow with god. now if i remember correctly the average wage was about like one or two shekels a month so that would be a hefty price! it was because of that reason it was made so high so to discourage untruthful vows

Hmm, depends. Someone taking your parking bay, probably let it go. Someone deliberately tipping your sweet and sour pork into your lap, I can't say i wouldn't have feelings of vengeance. You can SAY calling the police for assault is about justice and preventing the person from doing it to others in the future, but you can't pretend a feeling of revenge wouldn't be bouncing around in your mind.

Generally people aren't a good judge on what's considered "bad behavior", that's kinda the point of laws and such.
