Do bed bugs only come out at night time? if yes: would it be a good idea to leave the light on? or to sleep onjy at day time ?

Bed bugs come out mostly at night to feed because that's when you're lying in a still position while sleeping. They also don't like light so they like staying in the dark. But bed bugs don't only come out at night, they try to follow your sleep schedule so they can feed on you. If you sleep at night, they'll attack you at night. If you sleep mostly in the daytime, they'll attack you in the daytime. A hungry bed bug will attack you any time so leaving the light on won't help you much. Today, in the US, Crossfire is recommended. Remember, if you have a large infestation, spraying alone may not work. You'll need to attack the bed bugs from multiple sides. Lavender oil like other scented materials repel bed bugs, but don't kill them. But even scented materials are not enough to prevent a hungry bed bug from biting you. You need to kill them completely. Im a pest control tech and the only thing you wanna do is the bedbug cover and steam treatment no more then that because steam kills everything.

HI, Yes, you're right in that steam kills bed bugs instantly. The only issue with steam is that you have to see the bed bugs or know where they are hiding to apply the steam on them. This can be difficult in a big infestation because bed bugs hide and in various places. So, in addition to steam, we recommend effective sprays that kill even when you're not around, washing your clothes and drying them on high heat to kill all bugs including their eggs, and avoiding a reinfestation by staying away from used furniture (and other things). @@JeremyBedBugsBanished i am sorry but you are incorrect about sprays bed bugs don't usually die just from walking across a sprayed area They need to sit on the dried product sometimes for several days to absorb enough to kill them. This is coming from a pest control tech that has dealt with them and using Cimexa is the best way to deal with them since it is a dust that dries them out.

I spoke to 3, and they all had different advice about bed bugs. Crossfire is supposed to be great but can't buy it in Europe and E gland
