I've been noticing these guys hanging around and dying at my window ledge for a while. Anyway... I was about to cook fried chicken and noticed several of them in my breadcrumbs. Ewwww! After that I found them in several of my opened food packages. Yuck! I threw everything out and cleaned my shelves. I left them empty and regularly checked and found some still crawling around every day for a week. Only after that I've put food back. This time in sealed glass jars. I continued to find them near my window but far less. After about a month they disappeared completely. I didn't need to use any chemicals.

Thanks. Will try the same. Cleaned my whole kitchen and still keep finding them - a few here and there - almost going nuts thinking that I couldn't seem to get rid of them. Will wait out the 1 month window before panicking and calling a specialist

@@NadineAntunes Same here Nadine. I've already started storing things in food containers like my grits, flour, beans, corn meal etc. I don't want anymore boxes or plastic in my pantry. I can't take it anymore. I hope things work out for you. Thank you Steve for the advice.

What drives me crazy is how they manage to squeeze themselves inside bottle caps. Like plastic containers of spices with the cap tightly closed. They still manage somehow to sneak in. How?

I don't find them in our pantry but rather around 7 PM in the evening they start coming out and like to crawl up my arms and around my neck and only in my office where there is not any food of any type.

We had the same thing. It required daily inspections for months, on the spot action on the bettle and weekly fumigation. they like to nest in wood cracks, like drawers. They eat anything and breed like mad. We found them under the furniture so fumigate there. We had to seal many items in Trash bags. They spread from the kitchen, to the bedroom, family room and garage. We found them even in the air vents. It was horrible. It took two years with nightly walks with a flash light. Also Fermone traps helps we would catch 10 to 12 in the bed room every night and the count would go down to 8 then 4 a night and finally when I would find 1 or 2 a night, I still continued until I found no more for a two month period every night. They are extremely difficult to find and get rid of because they take flight and you can lose them easily good luck

@@ralber01000 ohhh nooooo God please noooo i'm gonna cryyy .... we just found an infestation and I have been battling with them for days now... I'm so tired of it. And got Covid on top of that. I'm ready to burn the house down now. I was thinking maybe we caught it early because newer items had the larvae crawling around on them and had the pupa attached also. But now Idk... what if they already spread across my little 969 ft sq house!!!???

i got few in my tabbaco packaging it didnt break out of the bag yet So i just tossed it in my trash feeling insecure, decide to dump it on my backyard few min later, after try to learn what was it I came across this video immediately grab my petrol, pour on that tabbaco, And light it up, We did it boys infestation no more (idk if the protagonist bug survive and decide to get revenge for his colony, stay tune)
