@@psychronia The effect is very shortlived. By the time, your skin has recovered from being squeezed and possibly hurt by your nails or such, the pores will be filled with 'gunk' again. Or a day or two later, anyways. Salicilic Acid, which just dissolves the gunk is a gentler way, to get the same effect. If you feel, it doesn't have enough of an effect, try massaging a wash gel with SA in for two minutes. Or use a face mask with SA. Not everyone gets the desired effect from a quick wash. To actually work on the underlying issue...retinol often helps. Some people also report, that Niacinamide cuts down their sebum production.

@@mir.zulfi. its not about any specific exercise. Sebaceous filement is a collection of dead skin cells and oil building up on your skin. Eating healthy (not dieting or under eating, but eating healthily and a good amount) exercise and water will help reduce the build up of oil on your skin. You should also wash your face with a warm cloth (or slightly hotter than warm, not boiling) as this helps to open up your pores, and then wipe your face with a cold cloth afterwards. Hope this helps.

Hey. Just wanted to share my experience. People say that they notice visible change after 1 week or so when using salicylic acid. It was not same for me. I was using 2 percent SA acid for 3 months straight, then I started to see some changes on my skin. After 6 months my skin is better, acnes are reduced and also the nose area. My skin is super oily and acne prone, it loves SA and niacinamide combo.

As a guy if I'm able to wash my face twice a day and apply moisturizer and maybe subscreen, I'm alreafy acing skin care. Am i wrong to approach skincare like this? Just curious of what people who's really into this have to say about it.

Salicylic acid naturally occurs in willow tree bark so you can try a willow bark extract. It’s also where we discovered aspirin from. People would chew the willow bark. There isn’t really a good household substitute for salicylic acid unfortunately. Every other acid is just too agressive and the other thing salicylic does is it makes your oil glands produce less oil which in turn helps shrink the pores making them “oxidize” (turn black) less and making it harder to see them
