I do this but not all at once. I wet the hair, add deep conditioner and cover with 2 shower caps for 20-30 minutes then rinse out. Add shampoo, agitate and cover with shower cap for 20-30 minutes. Scrub scalp and rinse. Add conditioner, comb through, leave for 5 minutes and rinse.

I'm black....not only can different races have same hair...but different races can have same skin color....black/indian/arab for example Finally truly learned race is a social construct When i was in South Africa learned about their races, black, white, mixed, indian. I live in US the black classmate was called indian due to her 3b hair and the woman born in india with bone straight her in south Africa is mixed due to her skin color.....make it make sense 😊

❤I love it too! When I returned natural 20yrs ago I used any product I wanted (not sticking exclusively to those marketed to Black women. Redekin, Paul Mitchell & Giovanni were among the HGs! I have thick, fine 3c, 4a… silky on my tightest curl area center to back. Meanwhile my sister has coarse (strong) 3c corkscrew. People who actually got to feel my hair always acted surprised is was so silky & soft, but depending on whether I let the curls pop, wore an air dried blowout, or flatiron, you’re gonna see something different!

Then you probably don’t have curly hair. Curly hair can handle a lot of water and wet detangling. If you have straight hair or a slight wave. And your hair is fine. Then don’t do this. If you have really wavy hair or really curly hair. Then you can do this.

also this deep conditioner can be used as a normal daily rinse-out conditioner, a rinse-out hair mask and as a leave-in conditioner which is perfect as you can rinse out 80-90% if using as a mask and continue to reap the benefits as a leave-in which is what i like to do with this product ❤ [plus it’s silicone-free and vegan friendly!]

I think they're just using the conditioner ahead of time to detangle the curls, but it's not necessary. Personally think conditioning before washing is kind of pointless and a waste of products.

@mandiwolfe66318 ай бұрын
I only do it first when my tangles are way too bad to even attempt shampooing first. Otherwise, using it after shampooing out products & build up will let the deep conditioner perform like intended.
@elenagomez45487 ай бұрын
This is deff not recommended to get the full benefits. You can do this and it’s fine but I wouldn’t recommend doing this all the time cuz your just washing out all the hair mask benefits

@mandiwolfe6631 Ohhh I see, cuz my tangles are horrible. It takes me forever and a lot of lost hair in the process. 😫😰 So, condition first to remove tangles, then shampoo and condition again?
@mandiwolfe66317 ай бұрын
@@JennaC4928 if your tangles are very bad, yes you can condition first to help with the detangling process. Then shampoo to thoroughly cleanse your hair and condition again to get full benefit of the conditioner. Hope this helps!

we shouldnt comb our hair wet right?
@periwinklepiranha89888 ай бұрын
It's dependent on hair type. If you have fine straight hair, it's not recommended to brush it when wet. This is not true for other hair types such as curly hair. In fact it is suggested you should only brush hair when wet if you have curly hair.
@nataliedean75518 ай бұрын
OK. I grew up in a time before so many do's and don'ts with hair. To be totally honest, there is nothing wrong with combing or brushing your hair when wet, even straight hair. It's why they make wet brushes, and way back in the day, before a wet brush was ever thought of, we combed our hair when wet. Because of the bonding properties of wet hair, the hair would wrap around the bristles in the brush and break it more easily. Just make sure it's conditioned and you start with the ends first. Seriously, no one is going to wait until their hair is dry to brush or comb it out. You'd have a frizzy mess. If you have straight hair, you have to begin brushing it when it's wet, anyway, if you blow style it. Now, curly hair is always brushed when wet. If you brush it when it's dry, you risk significant breakage, not to mention looking like you stuck your finger in a light socket.

Lol sadly a lot of us were raised by people who either didn’t care for their own hair or had very different hair types. My mother and extended family all have pin straight hair that needs little to no maintenance, while my dad has kinky/curly hair. He started balding in his 20s and as a guy never grew his hair out, so I had no one in my inner circle who was able to teach me about hair care(I have 2c/3a). My aunts on my dad’s side also have tight curls, but were always shamed for it growing up so they’ve always straightened or relaxed it and never learned how to care for it either. Point is, a lot of people with textured hair are still shamed and gaslit into thinking they have “horrible” hair, and there’s no one out there spreading positivity about it or teaching basic hair care. Growing up I always brushed out my curls, straightened my hair every day (for YEARS oml yikes lol) because I was ashamed of my crazy “frizzy” hair. It can happen, esp in a lot of 3rd world countries that still experience lots of colorist cultural behavior. When every hair product is marketed towards silky straight hair it makes curly hair care a lot more difficult to embrace and care for.
