I just learned and cemented to memory more in 6:46 seconds than I have in a month of trying to understand this balance between shutter speed, aperture, and ISO. Thank you so much!

Omg I'm in love with the way she explains this. Found my favorite vid on this topic, (finally). Subscribed of course.

Enjoying ALL of your informative videos, thank you and keep up the great work! Just curious: Are you shooting mostly in Aperture Preferred or Manual mode?
@RebeccaRiceEducation Жыл бұрын
Always manual mode 🙌🏼

I do concert photography, and light…or the lack of it…often does not give me much choice in setting aperture or shutter speed, so I end up trading away some noise with a higher ISO. Regardless, I have found I can recover less-than-tack-sharp images with software from Topaz Labs called Sharpen AI. I don’t know how it works, but it really is amazing.

Yes I’ve heard great things about Topaz!

@@RebeccaRiceEducation BTW, I do not remember I came upon your videos, but you have a great channel. That you call it Education is very apropos. In addition to your photography, you are very good teacher as well.

I’m struggling with getting my pictures tack sharp when I have families holding hands walking towards me. I keep my shutter at 1/600 when I do these and I try to focus and recompose and they still turn out blurry. I’m wondering if I don’t understand focus and recompose right

Are you using back button focus, or focus tied to your shutter?

Im confused, I just watched your behind scenes with extended family and there were over 8 people and the F-stop was 2.8... everybody was pretty much lined up but kids weren't... how does that work?
@RebeccaRiceEducation Жыл бұрын
They were all on a similar focal plane so they were in focus at 2.8!
