@ZoeTwoDotss, it's been tested with w/o viable results. but it's been done like this: entering the last 10 minutes to the hour. 7:50, 8:50, 5:50 etc, in a busy area, start your incense, then immediately start your route. the route must be fairly straight and of decent length. bird appearance will vary with the weather in the current area. mind you this -->not

I think this method is closer to yielding decent results than not. My catches have all followed the pattern of each bird having their own specific reoccurring spot, while doing a mostly straight route towards the end of the hour, so long as I have a max level buddy walking on the map. Its always when I've exhausted 75% of the 15 min incense timer, but never b4. Granted, this is only when weather conditions that would boost one of the birds are active. When all these conditions are met, I can almost predict to within a few seconds when I'm going to encounter one of these dastardly dash happy avaian headaches. I have all of the birds; caught them all at least twice, but I trade my extras to those less lucky. 2 Moltres, 1 Zapdos, 1 Articuno left.

The crashing on Iphone is so bad. During research day, it crashed for me around 30 times in one hour. Months and months talking about it and dealing with "just get a new phone" people, while both old and new models had the same issue (just with different density), writting to support, filling bug reports etc. The most recent update helped a little (now I can't see gyms and power spots that are further away), but it is still not great.

I will say, I’d been notice freezes and crashes. A friend mentioned deleting the app, redownloading, and as an extra measure downloaded all assets. Been running smoothly since. Hopefully that helps (on a 12, btw)

I feel like considering the amount of candy and stardust you have to spend on Roar of Time to keep the daily going, the galarian birds appearance rate should be up, at least a bit. The shiny rate better be 1/20 as well, because any higher would be unacceptable.

I still don't see this mentioned much, but I almost guarantee a Galarian bird when I use daily incense somewhere I literally haven't walked before while playing the game. Not talking about routes, as in the in-game definition of a route that someone made, but literally a path, street, or even random area of your "map" that you have not walked previously. If you're only playing near your home, this gets pretty tough, as it seems to be pretty literal to where you have not been while playing the game. Even the other side of a street you've walked before is too close to be a different place. But basically every time I do this (VERY confident of it, but don't have hard data), I encounter one of the birds. Today's daily incense proved it doesn't even need to be a favourable weather boost, as it was rainy (which doesn't help the G. birds). I looked around near my house, found two little side streets that I KNOW I've never walked (but also know I definitely did walk the ones they connect to), and headed that way. Used my incense when I got close to the first, and about midway through the second, encountered Articuno. Got two shakes, but no luck. I tried going back and forth over the same spot, but didn't see it again. This said, I also never had luck having previous spawns come back on different days in the same place. Some of the places I've encountered them around my home are easy to remember, especially that first Moltres (my fav), but I haven't managed to get them to respawn there. All this said, I strongly encourage trying to walk a street, path, field, park, or some "uncharted" part of your map that you literally have not walked in-game before. I am VERY confident this is the best way to trigger a G. bird encounter. I can very specifically remember at least 4 or 5 times where I very intentionally chose to walk somewhere I hadn't before and found a G. bird. Makes it difficult though, if you just walk and play normally, and don't save going anywhere new for when you use incense. Not a very realistic way to play. I have been playing since July and have only gotten Zapdos, which was actually my first encounter. It was a really low CP, so maybe that helped. Shinies would be sick, but really just want Moltres, my fav.

I used an incense and got a shiny zapdos in the last seconds to cease the incense. It keeps escaping from the ultra ball, but it doesn't run away. So you must have many ultra balls if you want to catch your galarian bird.

Dont know if u will see this, but i just wanted to say in case u didnt know there is a setting on samsung in the bottom left in game optimisation called pause USB PD when over 20%. This stops "charging" your phone when playing a game, which may be the issue u r having with the charging. Sorry if u have already checked that this is turned off, just wanted to let u know incase u didnt know about it (the place to turn this off is in the bottom left usually of the navigation bar when playing a game)

I'm not sure what android phone you use, but if it's a Samsung Galaxy, I highly recommend taking advantage of the Game Launcher from the Galaxy Store. I currently play PoGo on my Galaxy S9 (came out 2018) and that game DRAINS my battery like mad. Im talking 50% battery gone in 30ish minutes. But i recently made sure the Game Launcher was all turned on and had it help with some of the optimization issues. It really helps with keeping my phone temp down and I really like screen touch lock since it's like the power saver mode in PoGo but will actually black out the screen but will keep PoGo running just like it was just opened normally.

So what powerbank are you using? Personally play in my Iphone 16 pro, coming from a Galaxy fold 2 it's a night and day difference with pogo. Can actually play a full com day on max brightness with a hotspot on without dipping below 30%

Hi! Also I recommend to use a power bank with a quick charge no all the batteries have the same output rate, the cable if needed but also the battery has to be capable to supply the voltage and current look for a battery with QC3.0 or QC4.0 output, maybe that is the problem. Also you can have overheat problems, I have to buy a case with a heat sink to help, if the phone is too hot the charge is also limited to avoid more heat on the phone due to the charge. In the other hand I agree the game consume a lot of battery is poorly optimized, but well we still have common bugs "easy" to fix, I can not image niantic doing major changes on the game to optimize it, I think that is something that never going to happen, sadly.

Do you have all assets downloaded? Is your drive space taken up? Hope you figure that out, and on the other end, If you have performance issues on older phone you can turn on developer options and disable HW overlays. That will make it so the GPU does All of the GPU stuff instead of the CPU slowly trying to do it.

I've caught 7 galarian birds, nothing I seen is official....but the strategy that Alex Nexton does works pretty good for me. I would suggest you do all the suggestions....route, start 7 mins before the hour, have buddy out, go on a route you seen one before. I am sure it's all speculation, but I tried for 21 days and I saw 5 birds in that time ....

Yes, you'd need to trade. These Dialga will also be back for the Wild Area event in November so you could also wait to catch one then. But might be easier to find someone locally to trade for now :)

Mine is iPhone 12. It crashes a lot especially during special events like safari zone. When I was doing the raids, it crashed every time when I was doing the third raid or during the third raid. It’s very frustrating. I popped my incense yesterday and used Dialga’s ability to extend the incense time for 1 and half hour, and not a single Galarian bird encountered 😅

Isn't it so great that these birds weren't available as shiny in Pokémon Sword or Shield and when they put them in Pokémon Go they're locked behind a 15 minute timer for like a week. About 2 years ago, I'd see G birds frequently, at least once a week if not twice on average, so I did my daily incense every day without fail to the point I was lucky enough to catch 2 with very low CP over about 14 months. he last year & a half I've seen 2 total- I think my average is about 1 every 7 months & that was with near daily windy weather boosts while doing my daily incense for 18months (live on the coast so windy boosts here are very common). I rarely bother with the daily incense now as I don't see the point. ie. The math for me encountering a shiny G bird if we assume they are 1 in 20, is as follows: 1 encounter every 7months x 20 encounters / 12 months = 11.66 YEARS! Hard pass on wasting my time doing daily incense in the hopes of a G bird encounter. IMO, the G birds have such a low catch rate, that their encounter rate should be boosted that every 50th or 100th spawn is a G bird so people actually have a reason to go out & do their daily incense. With a 2% or lower catch rate it's not like every man & his dog are suddenly going to have them. Sure, some people will use their master balls on them rather than keeping them for meta relevant hundos when they get down to the last ball, but 1. We don't get unlimited master balls & 2. G birds in master balls aren't as sought after as the ones caught in standard balls.

Pokemon Wild Area can be look intersting but still can't overtook or better than i my mentioned before an event Go Team Rocket huge event which has Shadow Mythical Pokemon and it's shiny form debut by defeat new super high ranking female NPC of Team Go Rocket. Safari Pokeball can't match Pokeball that i mentioned before Pokeball exclusive for Pokemon Go. Supreme Ball which is has 4 time catch rate from Standard Pokeball and Mega Ball which is has 8 time catch rate from Standard Ball.

This is exactly why so many of us stopped Trying.... pointless spawns and constant crashing. I have never had a phone that Froze in the middle of Battles as much as this week. Now, I just walk around the block, or go to the Park for ComDay... the amount of Real World walking simply isn't worth it anymore
