Congratulations! Love your videos and always terrific when your husband participates. Happy for you guys. Please do some more on Valencia specifically as we are hoping to get the NLV process started in 2025. Would love to see you do a whole video on the Mercat Central as well as other food videos. Keep up the great work!

Hi Mari, brilliant video as always, thank you! Does the approval of the DNV grant you the right to live in Spain until you get the TIE? If so, how many days does it allow, because, as I understand, it can take a while to obtain the TIE? I am a non-EU citizen so I’ll have a limited term Schengen visa to apply for the DNV. I’m worried it may expire before I can obtain the TIE.

Hi Mohit! Yes, the approval of the DNV grants you the right to live in Spain while you apply for and wait to receive your TIE. If you’ll be applying in Spain make sure you have all the documents collected so that you can apply as soon as you arrive. It’s important to apply for DNV before your Schengen days are finished. But once you applied for DNV don’t worry about overstaying your Schengen days as you’ll be protected under Spanish immigration law so you can just wait for your visa resolution. Once your DNV is approved technically you have 30 days to apply for TIE, but it might take you longer (we had to wait for our TIE appointment 1.5 months) so just figure out the apartment as soon as possible and apply for TIE appointment (I left the website in the description). Hope that helped!

when i hear you talk about poland... i don't know if you are a polish citizen? if so. being a citizen of the european union you do not need a visa to live in spain. the eu registration certificate is the legal document that any citizen of the european union who wishes to live and work in spain for more than 3 months has to request to be legal in the country. obtaining this document is really simple, and can be done in just 24 hours. and your partner as the spouse of a european citizen.

She is not, she is an ungrateful Ukrainian who got a chance for better life and bashes Poland in each comment

I am Polish and I know for a fact that no Ukrainian would be able to live in Poland illegally for 8 years. They all get to Poland and apply for Polish green card and then after 2 years for Polish citizenship which makes them EU citizens. Poland has very strict immigration laws and we do not allow poeple just to cross the borders and live illegally.

👍👍👍👍👍👍👍Congratulations family on obtaining the stay visa, but you already know that Poland, being in the European Union, you has the right to stay and reside in Spain, as you are a Polish national, and your husband also because he is your husband, so welcome, In Spain the minimum wage is 1200 euros in 14 payments, that is, in the month of July and December you get double, and one month of 30 days of paid vacation per year, so do not accept anything for below that amount, From Málaga family I hope you have a nice time in Spain,, Greetings!!

Mari congratilations, I really like your channel :) but I find it very weird that you lived in Poland for 8 years without being there legally, This is not possible, as Ukrainian your first step was to get Karta Polaka - polish green card that allowed you to live and work legally in Poland and after 2 years obtaining Polish citizenship. Poland doesn't allow immigrants to cross the border and live there illegally. However, Ukrainians have it very easy to get a residency and citizenship in Poland. The reason you had to wait for hours in Poland is your own people, that arrive in Poland by hundred thousands and make the long lines. It was hell, yet you stayed for 8 years. You seem very ungratefull to a country that was a huge help to your people before the war and during the war. Please don't spread missinformation that you didn't receive any documents. You would have been deported after 30 days being illegally in Poland.

Hi Magdalena, thanks for your comment! I’m sorry if you got the wrong impression. I’ve never said I lived in Poland illegally for 8 years (how would that even be possible? lol). I’m not sure why you felt so triggered or offended-I never claimed that life in Poland was terrible. What I did mention was the bureaucracy with residency cards. I moved to Poland long before large numbers of Ukrainians started arriving, and even back then, the system wasn’t well-organized. For example, I had to stand in line outside the immigration office from 5 a.m. just to apply for a permit because there were no online appointments at that time and only a certain amount of people were accepted per day. It is what it is, and I find it interesting to compare, but that doesn’t mean that the country is bad. Also, there’s no need to bring up the topic of war-it’s unrelated to this discussion. Last thing, the Karta Polaka is only for people with Polish ancestry. I don’t have any Polish roots, so I went through the standard process of obtaining residency. Five years leads to permanent residency, and after 10 years, you can apply for citizenship.
